thanks

i dont know about the microwave, personally i would leave out the protein powder and add some budd. Budd brownies..yum yum. Just remember to save some, you'll get real hungry about an hour after you start eatin'em.

LOL...Dammit, you beat me to it. Except, I would have said to keep the protein in it.

Marc, whey protein is a great filler in recipes...so you'll have to increase the liquids in the mixture. However, I haven't made brownies in so damn long, I forgot how to make them (especially without any instructions). In fact, the last time I had brownies was last year when I visited some of my buddies in Idaho and we made Bud brownies...Probably why I can't remember...LOL. I had Mononucleosis at the time so the extra relief came in handy, especially since i was slamming down 3-4000mg Vicodin every 3 hours with it...talk about WeIrD feeling.

Hey can someone post a complete recipe for protein brownies?

ingredients and amounts... total fat, protein and carb counts, etc...

this would be great for everyone here!

Rubber brownies !!

When adding protein to a pre-packaged brownie mix it is very important to add more water and an extra 1-2 tablespoons of veg oil to the mixture.

Last week I was in the kitchen and made a batch of protein brownies by adding a packet of Perfect RX vanilla protein powder to the brownie mix, without adding extra water or oil.

I knew I had a problem after I took the batch out of the oven and as they started to cool they seriously pulled away from the sides of the pan. Not just a little like normal baked goods.

Also, if you try to lift a normal batch of brownies out of a pan, more than likely they will break. Well, let me tell you - have you ever baked the equivalent of a rubber discus ?!

Normally, if people don't bake brownies correctly they either come out more like cake or like fudge.

Not mine. The protein powder vulcanized the batch. I think I have found the solution to Firestone's tire blow out problem - Protein Brownies !

hehehe exactly what i was thinking , hmmm i wonder if you can sub the vegetable oil for flax or hemp oil.
Im going to try this tomorrow ill post the results
