offseason as long as I get 290 grams of protein a day, I am set, I don't watch the carbs and fat as close, but when I am getting ready for a show, the protein comes down to about 190grams and the carbs and fat are in check, everything is measured to the T and there are no cheat days and every day is the same, that is the way I like it. Water offseason is about a gallon a day, when getting ready for a show, goes up to about 2 gallons a day. Works for me :)

Wilson6 : I would love to hear a reply from you, I highly respect your opionion, and next time I won't balloon up, but I was just wondering if it was just the wording I used or if I am way off base somewhere with the gaining a little fat to be able to put on some muscle? Help me out! :) :) :)
 
I think Wilson mis-interpreted you comment, as did I at first...you mean that it is hard to put on lbm when bf is kept at very low levels...
 
Yep...I agree.

I read somewhere that the "ideal" training weight is 5-7% above contest weight.

Too low imo.


Look at the most successful pros - most of them really look...well...shitty in the off season.....who looks the best offseason ...Shawn Ray and others...that is why their contest weight hasn't gone upin 10 years.......perhaps Shawn does not "supplement" to the same extent as the others, but there is a correlation between off season bulk and onstage beef.
