Yay home from work!

I'm out of snacks, fuck my life. I finished off the hummus and pita and still want more.

Actually I was trying to get a picture of him going through that opening, but as long as I had the camera pointed at him, he stayed right inside the threshold. As soon as I took it from my eye, he dashed right out. Contrary little beasts...
 
Oh and Thursday my car blew up. Bad enough that when I called the dealer today, they said I'm getting a new engine.

Only 8000 miles on the car, so warranty is taking care of everything, including a loaner car while mine is in the shop. They said it'll be "a week to ten days" for them to get a long block from the factory. I was driving to work Thursday, pulled up to a stop light, and heard a "scrape scrape scrape scrape..." noise. I thought it was the car next to me, and I laughed at him. Then the light changed, and the noise stayed with me. Shit. That was about 8/10ths of a mile from work, and the noise got progressively worse as I went. There was no Check Engine warning light though, and it didn't seem to be down on power. I'm guessing it turned a bearing or maybe a wrist pin went. At 8K that would have to be a manufacturing defect, I haven't abused it.

But in the meantime I'm stuck in a Nissan Altima loaner car, and I hate it.

You may like it, just because I don't doesn't mean it's crap. It all depends on what you want from a car. The Altima seems competent enough, it's got decent accelleration. My objection is that, first of all, it's kind of big, it "floats" on the suspension like a big American car, the interior on the base model seems pretty cheap, and really there's just nothing about it For People Who Like Cars. As a transport appliance it's just fine.

It's got a continuously-variable transmission, which I've found kind of disconcerting at first.

After a couple of days my complete hatred of this car is softening, and the "big car float" thing isn't as noticeable to me now as it was the first time I drove it Thursday evening. But boy my VW sure will feel good to me when I get it back.

So my buddy has owned his Glock 45 for 1.5 years and never fired it.. has his CCP and carries almost all the time..

So i took him to the range, and he put 50 rounds through it.. had 5 ejector fails..

Meanwhile i shot my wife's 709 taurus that is new, put another 100 rounds through it with 0 fails (1 primer strike fail) no ejector failures..

He's looking for a new gun now, I have a Kimber ultra II on order, he wants that one.
 
YES!!!!! Finally back on EF after almost 9 weeks ... damn, I never thought I'd miss this site so much! 23:35 in SA now ...time to go to bed, I suppose, I have to get up for work in about 4hrs ... ughhh!!!!

Suzuka isn't in the damaged area is it? That's months from now, the Japanese are all about getting back to business as usual. Docks in the tsunami area are already getting back to some limited work.
 
Nothing on TV and I've already used up the internet, might as well go to sleep.

Damn! Things are slow on this board all of a sudden ... what's happening? Talked to one of my EF Buds ... he mentioned a peptide cycle for healing purposes. All he did was poke my inquisitive side and now I need to learn more about this stuff ... no, really, I NEED TO!

Hmmm ... reasearching GHRP-6 ... seems to be quite an interesting peptide! I have to know more about this thing and how to incorporate it into a cycle or into pct or into an off-cycle-cycle ...
