big ass

Is there any way for me to thicken my thighs without getting my ass any bigger. I am 6' 198 lbs will some abs showing. (top 4 okay!) I am thin up top though. My legs are very strong but I lack as I go up. I bench about 300 and squat the same. My squats aren't really that good but My leg presses kick ass. Everytime I squat my ass starts to grow. I know this sounds stupid but I am sick of the comments. Actually I cut out squats and leg presses for about two months and my bench went down as well as my other power movements.
Look, I am not trying to get huge. I just want to be built with some good tone. Can you guys give some advice. should I up my reps?? It seems to just cause more pain during recovery due to the lactic acid build up. My split is

mon Chest/tris
tues Back/Bi's
wed rest
thurs shoulders/arms
Fri Legs.

I do six sets for arms twice a week. Once heavy (6-8 reps) and the other light (10-15) light.

Please give advice

If you squat just to parallel, and not below it, it shouldn't build your ass much

just for some tone and since u dont want to get your glutes any bigger u can try this. first, dont ditch squats and leg presses altogether. true they are compound movements that not only stress the thigh muscles but the glutes as well. for less stimulation on the glutes keep the weights lighter. as for range of motion, dont squat below parallel as the glutes are activated highly in this position. for leg presses keep your feet on the bottom portion opf the machine and not on the highest. the higer your foot position the stronger the glutes will come into play. aslo, u could focus on more isolation movements such as leg extensions and leg curls, movements that stress the thighs but not the glutes.
