Bicep peak issue, listen to my point and c what you think

I think it is possible to add a little peak to your biceps if you have none. Im not saying they will b mountainous, but i feel you can. If bodybuilders believe it to be true, and they all have the best bodies muscle wise, how can you disagree? When the bicep muscle grows and get bigger from training, it has go grow up, out, or wider right? Where is the scientific proof that you cant peak a bicep anyway other than a theory?

Who said that you can't peak a biceps? I have never heard of such a theory. The only thing I know is that peak development is largely genetic. Somepeople can have 20+" inch arms and have no peak, while some people may have one with a much smaller. In the same regard some people may easily obtain a peak, while others may have to specifically train a long time to get one. Like most things in bodybuilding genetics will play a large role in the shape of your muscle.

Oddly enough I have developed a "peak" in the past 4 months since starting Westside training... I have done 1 single curl during that time but my bis have grown.. However they do get sore from squats and GMs from holding and steadying the bar i suppose.. In that time my arms have gone from about 17.5 inches to 19.25 inches cold... Not a bad side effect i would say

you can put more stress on the outer head and make it bigger, so you can make the bicep sit up taller, but your still bound by your genetic shape.

Mine don't peak, and it's perfectly logical. For starters, I have long muscle bellies. Secondly, my biceps grow forward, not up. A frontal view of my bieps is depressing. An aerial view, however, would be GREAT. :)

So then if you can peak your bicep, how do you go about doing it?

A muscle has two functions, to contract and relax. Whether you do concentration curls or preacher curls or barbell curls, the action of the muscle is no different, it contracts or relaxes......so then, what exercises will 'peak' your bicep.

IMO, it's all genetics.

I think a lot of it is genetics. However, I believe it is possible to develop a peak through training. Just think, when you train the brachialis the muscle will enlarge causing the bicep to raise. I always believed that concentration curls really helped. Overall, my biceps are relatively long, so I typically do not train for a peak.

they is a difference between being able to peak a bicep and being able to improve a bicep's peak.

the shape of a bicep is predetermined, but it might not develop it's real "peak" until it's at a certain size. being able to actually alter the shape of the muscle (be it peaking, lengthening, etc) is a completely different story, though.
