bicep help?

need advice. im struggling with my bi developement. they just will not grow. everything else is going good. my question is this is it a bad thing to maybe workout my bi's once every other week. i feel that maybe they need more time to recovery, not just from my arm workout but from all my other workouts during the week. im on a monday-chest, tuesday-back&bi, wednesday-off, thursday-shoulders&tri's, friday-legs routine. i only do about 6-7 sets for bi's a week, but think they might need a break. any info or help would be great.

I think 6 or 7 sets per week is fine. I wouldn't do more or less. Couple things to consider:

Row excercises hit the bis pretty hard as well. If you're doing a lot of rows, maybe ony 3 or 4 sets of bis would be sufficient.

Also, are you doing heavy (as possible) curls with proper form? If your eyes aren't popping out of your head on your last set, up the weight until they are. And no swinging!

I believe bi's actually need less time to recover, but take less to be fatigued. 6-7 sets for bi's per week seem very sufficient to me. I was doing 9, but got better results once I brought it down to 6-7.

Definetly agree with you on that. My bis get fatigued very easily for some reason. If I do a heavy set for 6-8 reps with good form and take a few minutes rest between the next set, I won't even come close to the same amount of reps (maybe 3-4). And I couldn't even think about a third set. Then I have to go lighter than I normally would on the second exercise just to get more than 3 reps. None of my other muscle groups seem to act like this. Not sure what the problem is...

I think you’re under-training them. Try throwing in 3-4 lighter sets of Bi’s on your Friday leg day and go heavy and hard on your back/bi day.
