Best time for protein

I bought some opti pro meal from Optimum Nutrition the other day for the proteins and stuff. I also bought myoplex protein bars. When is the best time to take these? Before or after a workout? How long before or after? Is this meal replacement really going to bulk me up very well?
 
thereis no best time to get protein-the best time for carbs is right after workout so you don't get fat-the opti pro bars taste GREAT-you'll need over 300g a day of protein when bulking
 
just space your protein over the day over your 6-7 meals,i wouldhave a shake when you wake up since you fasted all nigh at sleep,maybe throw another in after workout with carbs,but divide your protein throughout the day,bro....... my .02....:fro:
 
take 1.5 - 2.0 grams of protien per lbs of your weight

i take my protien throughout the day. about 90% after i lift. but you have to eat regular food aswell; chicken breast, tuna....etc. shakes alone won't get you the results you want.
