Throw up your best portable recipes.

I hate bringing a steak along with some rice because then you need to bring fork and knife etc. And its not really compact.

Post up some stuff like where everything is mixed together, fast to make (around 20 minutes or less), and that you can bring a ton packed into a small container (i.e. high density).

protein pancakes (pic any recipe)

tuna patties - good cold(eggs + tuna + seasonings - form into patties and fry in skillet. if you're not watching carbs, add bread crumbs or rice. This works really well with salmon, too.)

Beef Jerky and mixed nuts is a nice, portable, lower carb meal. Add some water to drink and you're set! Also, you can keep this meal in the car for a day or two, and it's still delicious! :-)

another option is to pack a smaller container with chooped mixed veggies and chopped chicken, top with olive oil and lime juice and you have a nice salad to take with you, just throw in a plastic fork and you're set!

I know how this goes.

I pack about 3 meals a day into my backpack because I commute across the city to my university. My backpack has more food in it then books, haha.

I am known as the steak or chicken kid, because I will bring steak or chicken that I cooked the night before and just eat it barehanded. I don't really care.

However, I make a lot of tuna that I put in tupperware, and bought a little bag of like 10 plastic forks/spoons/knives each that I keep in my backpack for whenever I need them.

Beef jerky and walnuts are a staple for me.

Oh, and as far as napkins go, I just go into the bathroom and take a bunch of paper towels. Works fine. You sae a ton of money this way too.

Till I got hurt - I was ski bumming it this year & put my food in a plastic baggie into a fanny pack.......it kept well!

I ate either: chicken (chopped) & mashed microwaved sweet potatoes or brown rice/salsa/chopped chicken. Or I ate rolled up turkey lunch meat & cheese......
