Best game systems

Resident Evil

New member
I had playstation 2 and wanted x-box but seems everyone still likes PS2 better. I played the football on X-box was smooth out of this world contols and grafics.
Any advice

The X-box actually has more to offer,it just has a lot of work to d t catch up to PS2. The year jump Sony had really hurt the X-box's potential. Ask most people who have both, or compare the same game on both systems, and the x-box comes out on top.(kinda like I do on your mom:D )

My brother has all three (X-box, PS2, Gamecube), and he says the X-Box is best. PS2 has the advantage of more titles being available, but performance-wise, X-box wins.

ditto....

yep, X-box has more capabilities and more titles are being made for it now, unlike when it first came out

I like ps2 because the titles they have out,but as said xbox is producing more

If you get Ps2 get gta3 vice city socom and Lord of the Rings two towers

if you get Xbox buy dynasty Warriors 3(best game I have ever played)

The best original Nintendo game was the track and field one with the running pad,my gf still has hers and we play it all the time, great cardio and its video games

well I own PS2, and my friend has an X box. I mainly play outlaw golf, mech assault and ghost recon. (i get lazy about capital letters sorry).

Personally I am not a fanboy of any system, i am just a fan of a good game on any system. So if you want to take into consideration how many "good games" PS2 has compared to X box, lets take a look here:

PS2 has a bigger selection of "better" games by far. Now you have to look and see what those games are comprised of. Nearly half of x box's best are sports. The rest of the field seems spread out with action and adventure.

About 1/3 of the top 50 PS2 games are also sports. The rest are mainly action and adventure also.

Now, as for the "almost great games", those rating 8.0-8.9, X box has a giant library of 60 titles in that range, while PS2 comes in with a mega whopping thunderous 116 titles.

When it comes down to it, PS2 definately has more bang for the buck. But of course, you're most likely not going to be playing ALL of those games. So you have to decide what games you like and which system has more of them. Many games are now multi platform so you need to take that into consideration also. Then there's the online aspect. PS2 needs a seperate adapter for 40 bucks to play online. It also supports 56k dialup whereas Xbox live doesn't. Last but not least, you need to think about the interface of the games. i personally cannot stand the xbox controller at all and have a hard time trying to adapt to it. Even with my big hands it's a royal pain in the ass. the S type controller (smaller version) is definately more put together, but the buttons are still just as user unfriendly as the normal versions, as you have to make twice the amount of effort to push in one of them as you would a PS2 button.

Plus, you might also take into consideration the ease of which you can play "backup" games on the system. X box requires a mod chip and you need a dvd writer, and dvdr's are expensive, as is the media. PS2 can play backups with a no-solder mod chip plus a boot disk combo all for 35 bucks. Backups can be had online for very cheap if you look hard enough.

As for now, I firmly believe PS2 has all the bases covered.

I got 1.6 400+ram nividia 440 64bit card but game consoles are better and more selection and much easier to operatie and watch on a big TV.
IMO
