best form of cardio to improve fitness?

Boxing and sprinting have to be the top two.. Swimming and running is up there but i like intense workouts not just endless repition....
 
To me, NOTHING beats swimming. NOTHING even comes close.

Interval training is also a very good method for getting fit.
 
I'm trying to improve overall fitness too. This is my plan

MWF will be weight lifting

Tues - 2.5-3 miles run
Thur - swimming laps
Sat - Sprint work.
 
The stationary bike is good, or the treadmill if you like running, but breakdancing as stated by flubberboy is a crazy cardio, as well as an all-body workout. When I used to do it, I sweat and lost crazy weight. Builds balance and flexibility, not to great for mass though.
