Had an accident on the slopes yesterday - fell, ski did not release so I twisted my right knee and did a Grade 3 (complete tear) of my right ACL.....need to get a MRI to confirm, but it doesn't look good....

Ski season is over.......competition season is over before it began.....

Not a happy camper right now....

So sorry, Jens! Wishing you a speedy recovery...make getting your ACL fixed your priority right now and don't stress about everything else :rose:

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! so sorry to hear that!!!
All is not lost!! You will bounce back quick from an ACL if you fix it quick.
An MD can do a simple 2 second static test on his table to see if it's torn, or even partially torn. Get in there quick!! takes a few hours to fix and about 3 weeks on crutches... or less... you'll be in PT 3 days per week... tell them, (MD AND PT) you are an athlete, they will get you going faster. There are many things you can do to stay in shape.... you could still compete!!!!

Oh hell. So sorry hun. That damn ACL. Ugh. I've only ever had problems w/ repeated sprains in HS basketball. But man, the ol' ACL.

Get better fast!

Hey Ulter! You got anything in that little sack of goodies that does 2 week healings of ACLs? Otherwise its all on us tossing anti-torn-ACL-karma up Vermont way!

Oh Jen. I'm so sorry to hear that. You will heal up and be better than ever.

I'm still coming up there, show or no show. :rose:

Damn....girl I am really sorry to hear that....keep your head up; health is always first... I know it seems bad, but its a good thing that it wasn't worse...take care of yourself
