Bad muscle spasms in sleep

History: I've been working out for over a year. 5 days a week. Single body part per day.

I take a pre-workout (white flood), kre-alkaline, and protein.

The last I'd say two months I have closed fisted punched my self in the eye in the middle of my sleep about 3-4 times. Which obviously causes me to wake up immediately in pain. The last time it happened was last Thursday which happened to be the day I worked out Bis/Tris.

I'm starting to take a mutli-vitamin now hoping it's some sort of vitamin deficiency causing this crap to happen.

Anyone else ever have anything like this happen to them before in their sleep? I'm thinking about having a sleep study done, not sure what is causing the problem but it sucks when you would almost rather not sleep than wake up from blasting yourself in the eye :o

It could be a few things. I used to get these all the time in highschool football, I couldn't scream or itd wake my parents up but it was pretty bad. You are taking creatine, are you drinking enough water? Creatine Monohydrate will dehydrate you thats why you need to drink alot, I would say a gallon a day (7.5 water bottles) also if you do not get enough potassium this can happen, bannanas are a good source 1-2 a day would be good.

When I was using Albuterol I would kick my legs in my sleep but fortunately I wasn't hitting myself. I found that eating bananas and consuming taurine did the trick.
