BA tips

Wow, you'll have new boobies in 3 days. Remember to rest, rest, rest. Make sure you sleep alone for the first 2 nights. You don't want OneBreath elbowing you in the middle of the night :p. You'll be restless, although druged out with pain killers. Percoset worked great for me. Some Dr.s give tylenol, which you'll be fine with, but after 3 nights of drugs. Initially you'll need major pain killers. Some people have high tolerance of pain, but you don't want to find out if you don't have it.

You're going to love them. It's one of the best things I''ve ever done.
Good luck with everyrhing!
If you remember of anything else you want to know, let me know..
LOL - November, November!! Don't scare me Thandie!

Follow exactly what your PS sets out for you as recovery. Under the muscle is a much harder recovery then over as they are tearing your muscle. Be sure to have someone with you the first 48 hours as the drugs etc will knock you on your ass. I couldn't do anything the first two days but sleep and go to the bathroom the meds gave me zero appetite too. I went over the muscle so by the 3rd I was pretty good not to sore at all up and moving around. I followed the Dr orders on no lifting for 6 weeks. I am happy I did a friend of a friend f'd up her job doing pole tricks a 2 weeks after her surgery n

Ok guys - I need more help from those of you that have had an augmentation. I went for my second consult today to get some things squared away. When I went last March I apparently wasn't as muscular - we had decided it best to go under the muscle because I am on the verge of not having enough breast tissue to go over. Today when she examined me she concluded I could go either way - I have just 2cm of breast tissue which is the minimal required. She has worked with bodybuilders in the past and has put the implants under the muscle. However, when we spoke about my training, the potential to one day compete (want to leave my options open in case I get the fever), and my current muscle definition she gave me a list of pros and cons of under vs. over.

The questions I have are:

1. What did you do and why? Include whether they are silicone or saline.
2. If over, can you see the implant or feel any wrinkling etc.? Can you see your muscle definition in your pecs still? How do they move while lifting?
3. If under, when you flex do they pop up? Can you see your muscle definition? How do they move while lifting?

I get the pros and cons of over/under with the exception to weight lifting and possibly competing. My doctor recommended I ask you guys (I told her about how helpful you have been!). She could go either way. She showed me hers (under the muscle) and when she flexes they pop up a little.

I need to have a decision made by November 3rd. If you don't want to post up you can PM me. I'd appreciate anything you have!!!!

2. If over, can you see the implant or feel any wrinkling etc.? Can you see your muscle definition in your pecs still? How do they move while lifting? I definitely see my pecs definition.
3. If under, when you flex do they pop up? Can you see your muscle definition? How do they move while lifting? Yes, when I flex they do pop up, but I dont walk around with my pecs flexed, lol. You'll be able to see your muscle definitions. They also pop when you lift, but it won't show through your clothes. You'll feel it.

I'd definitely go under the muscle. They'll look more natural, as on top, they look like they're sitting on your pecs. You'll also have less problems in the long run. I have them for 10 years and never had a problem.

Thanks ladies! I am set for under the muscle - second measurement showed not enough breast tissue once again so I don't want to take any chances. Had my pre op appointment and am ready to go for the 20th.

Last question - did any of you use scar reducing ointment or strips? I've seen both and I'd like to know which works better. I scar terribly bad and I want to do all I can to work on it up front.

Good choice for under the muscle!

I used Cortizone 1%, which you can buy at the drug store. It worked beautifully! I don't have a single scar.

Awesome - thanks Thandie! I will definitely pick that up when I get all the other stuff I'll need! Whew! Who knew.

I plan on recording my experience, diet, and workouts in my journal. 1. It will help me get past the shyness of having it done and 2. I hope it will help others who will go through it or will consider it once their breasts turn to muscle! lol
