Hi all...
I need some advice fat loss advice for my auntie. She is about 55 and moderately overweight (mostly around the gut area).
At the moment her friends have got her trying a high protein, zero carbs, ketosis type diet. She has got all this literature from her friends but im still not sure that she is going about it the right way or even if it is the best diet for her? Im thinking basic clean diet would be better. She has even gone and brought a ketostrip thingy and is in the bathroom each trying to find out if she her body has switched yet.
She is also on hormone replacement type drugs for her age and menopause i guess. Im not use if this is an important factor.
What do you girls think. Should she stick with the diet she is trying, maybe with a few modifications if you have them, OR should she go for a completely different approach, of which can you please give some details!?
You guys here seem to know a lot about special diet techniques so do you think that if she is going to keep on the keto diet she should include a carb up day or two to keep the other important levels up? Im not too experienced with keto diets.
BTW i am also going to suggest a good training and cardio routine to add.
THANKS in advance
