We do tape them. I've got a digital camcorder, and I'll film stuff, and then edit on the PC.

I told spatts on the drive home that the battle would've been great to film.

I'm going to start bringing the cam more often so we can get more footage. Just need a little more tape and a little more hard drive space.

its good to tape them.
Tape all of them, than burn each one to a cd.
That way no HD space is taken up.

Agreed.

The problem is I usually get the footage ripped off to my hard drive, and a full hour of video is about 10GB. I never get it edited and rendered down.

I have our test footage just sitting there, waiting to be worked on.

The plan is to start making some VCD's to share. :D

how much storage do you have? its relatively cheap if you look around...for example, i can get an 80gb hard drive, for 81$ including shipping.. where as most people pay over 200 for it.

and 10gb is a shit load to atke up.. what format is it?
Try to compress it into a wmv file or something.

I've got a 40gb and a 20gb right now. Best Buy had a deal on a 100gb for $99 that I was going to pick up, but they're out. I'm going to do some shopping online to see what I can find.

The reason that the files are 10gb is because I bring in the raw video over firewire and work with it as an uncompressed AVI, then render it down.

The videos I post have no audio track, but are still a decent size and quality, about 1mb for 20 seconds.
