Repealing citizenship without a revue by a public court is one.

Wire tapping without cause is another.

The CIA and FBI spying on American citizens is a third.

Police power to arrest someone without due cause.

And so on and so on.

You mean repealing citizenship of a naturalized citizen, I suppose. No problem with that if that person is found to be someone who needs to be deported. Anything the government can give, the government can take away. Isn't that the way you guys want it?

Wiretapping without cause is illegal.

CIA spying on Americans (in America) is illegal. FBI is free to do so, by law.

Arrest without due cause is illegal. Detention is not.

And so on and so on. I'm still waiting for examples of trampled rights.

Those are trampled rights. You admitted them.

Any US citizen (even born) can have their citizenship revoked if the government feels that they are a terrorist. No questions asked, no trial and no lawyers.

That is okay with you?

Everything you think is illegal is legal now due to the Patriot Act.

Damn, I thought that you did your reseach before posting. I guess not.

This begs the question: Why am I wasting my time with a person that doesn't even know the facts that they are trying to debate?

UT's roommate here:

2Thick, it's people like this who have to be educated.

I was asked to post this:

"In Germany, the Nazis first came for the communists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a communist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.
Then the came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Catholics, but I didn't speak up because I was a protestant.
Then they came for me, and by that time there was no one left to speak for me."
Reverend Niemoeller, a German Lutheran pastor, was arrested by the Gestapo and sent to Dachau in 1938. He was freed by the allied forces in 1945

Perfect example.

Just because you do not feel the loss of rights does not make it okay to look the other way.

Also, have you noticed how this guy has not even replied back.

He has nothing to say because he is 100% wrong.

I just did a another quick check of a summation of the Patriot Act. I even read a version written by a far-left-wing-liberal-kook group, just to make it fair.

There is nothing in it that abrogates your Constitutionally-guaranteed rights. Any of the doomsday scenarios that are cited could happen anyway, anytime. Civics lesson. Your rights are enumerated in the Bill of Rights, as Amendments to the Constitution. By law, they can only be repealed by another amendment. The expanded powers in the Patriot Act have been determined to be within existing law. If that is not so, why is there not a parade of lawyers before the Supreme Court suing to have it thrown out?

Native-born American citizens can be expatriated (by due process and for due cause), but can never lose their citizenship, unless they renounce it. Naturalized foreign nationals can get the boot and be stripped of their conferred citizenship when the situation warrants. I don't have a problem with that.

According to the Patriot Act, Foreign Intelligence Agencies (OK, the CIA) may gather information on persons in America who are known or suspected of being agents of a hostile foreign government, as it relates to an investigation of terrorism. I don't have a problem with that one either.
I'll say it again: grow up and make the hard decisions about the things that NEED TO BE DONE to try to ensure everybody's security.

He must have taken the blue pill or he took the red pill & is surfing around the net discovering that his 'reality' was all a dream. Oops! Never mind. He posted.

UT has a load of info related to the antiterrorism acts in canada, britain & the us. i figure he'll post a bunch of it tomorrow. he made me watch ashcroft for 3 & 1/2 hours. things got interesting at about the 2 hour 20 minute point.
