JG1 New member Jun 13, 2003 #1 I was thinking of standing on a couple 25lb plates when i do my deads to increase the ROM. I'm using 455lbs now for 8 reps. What would this increased ROM stress? Legs mostly or the back? Or both about the same?

X Click to expand... When I use to do SLDL's I always used to stand on a platform and and let the bar touch my toes. I use to use 385 for reps with those. On my regular DL's I use a shoulder width stance, and a shoulder width over/under grip.

NWinters New member Jun 13, 2003 #4 you can use 35's instead of 45's, that way you can get a farther ROM.
