I think I have a fracture or bruised ribs. It's on my left side, about 2 inches under my nipple.

It's a sharp stabbing pain, when I laugh, cough, or inhale.

It ultimatly goes away with 2 ibuprophen.

Does this sound like fractured or bruised ribs to you guys?

It's near the area where my spleen and stomach is, it's not something like that is it!!??/

I'm getting worried now that I'm going to have to take a long rest from working out.

I'v had one from fighting, I'd say no it's not bruised if it goes away with ibuprophren. it is a constent throbing sharp pain whenever you move around. sounds kinda like it though, but I doubte it. do anything that might have caused it?

I have broken and bruised ribs a few times....If advil makes it go away it isn't serious...lol

it usually feels like someone is stabbing you with a knife when you cough/sneeze/move wrong ect. I mean the pain takes your breath away sometimes....

exactly

that's what it feels like ^ only when I cough sneeze etc.

I can' lay on that side, but if I lay on the other side it's fine.

I'm going to put off going to the doctor if a bruised/fractured rib is my problem. Unless I start having symptoms of a punctured lung (which I DON'T)

When did it go away, and did you keep training?

I've done it twice and it's exactly like IronLion says. Those + having trouble getting up (chair, bed). The second time I broke one it even hurt while walking. Every step felt like a knife stabbing my side.

Both of mine healed in 2-3 weeks.
