Re: anyone belive in the myan mystery of 2012?

UFO is too busy trying to build an anti grav machine in his basement..(this is true by the way, just ask him)

and java will be of no use because his starfleet manuals are bereft of any mention of such an event.........:whatever:

:lmao:

what do you think about this ariel?

i honestly think the only two guys that can solve this are javaguru and DJ_UFO.

i trust they know what will happen. and only they.

Re: anyone belive in the myan mystery of 2012?

That sort of echos a discussion I like to bring up when I've got enough pagans in the same room, "why can't we hold a ritual to hit the superball?" Supposedly it falls under the rules of free will and ethics, basically, just because you can do something, does that mean you have the right to?

As for the Mayans, whose to know they didn't foresee their own demise but realized there wasn't a thing they could do to stop it? When you have a more cyclical view of things (which most ancient peoples did), as opposed to the more linear way we view things, you sort of have a tendency to roll with the punches. Civilizations have come and gone, before, they'll come and go again.

all i'm saying is. . .imho, NO ONE can predict the future. . .not even some stupid, little, meaningless event. . .period.

also, what gives them the right to tell anyone that the world is going to end. . .i mean, if anyone actually believed them, the shit that would hit the fan because of me winning the powerball (and i assure you it would be a SIGNIFICANT amount of shit) would pale in comparison to the worldwide pandemonium.

to heck with the powerball. . .just tell me when the dang market is going to come back and i'll make my multi-millions over time instead of all at once. . .i'm not greedy :)

Re: anyone belive in the myan mystery of 2012?

I don't know if I believe or not. A lot of the theories of what will happen in 2012 have to do with this "Planet X" which apparently has either a 3600 or 2148 year orbit around the sun, depending on who you listen to. My thought is if this planet did exist and the orbit was that big, and it was scheduled to pass by earth in 3 years, it should be close enough to be able to see or detect it by now.
So my guess is Planet X does not exist.

But there are still a lot of interesting facts about this mystery. For some reason, all of these tribes or civilizations, have the same date of 2012 for some major event to occur.

Hopi Predict a 25yr period of purification followed by End of Fourth World and beginning of the Fifth.
Mayans Call it the 'end days' or the end of time as we know it.
Maoris Say that as the veils dissolve there will be a merging of the physical & spiritual worlds.
Zulu Believe that the whole world will be turned upside down.
Hindus Kali Yuga (end time of man). The Coming of Kalki & critical mass of Enlightened Ones.
Incas Call it the 'Age of Meeting Ourselves Again'.
Aztec Call this the Time of the Sixth Sun. A time of transformation. Creation of new race.
Dogon Say that the spaceship of the visitors, the Nommo, will return in the form of a blue star
Pueblo Acknowledge it'll be the emergence into the Fifth World
Cherokee Their ancient calendar ends exactly at 2012 as does the Mayan calendar.
Tibetan Kalachakra teachings are prophesies left by Buddha predicting Coming of the Golden Age.
Egypt According to the Great Pyramid (stone calendar), present time cycle ends in year 2012 AD

I can't wait for the bookie thread on this!:D

Jose Arguelles is an expert, well the expert on mayan prophecy, and not some bullshit historical narrative... either. He understands at the subtle, experiential level how time is not a measurement device that is static.

Mayan''s understood this... their logos of knowledge was not the same as ours, theirs was more based on synchrony rather than cause and effect.

Read 2012 Possibility and Prophecy.... 13 different authors... Gregg Braden, I believe is the chief author.
Well Written, and is a plethora of Academic Work that is based on Axioms... that definitely 'Sound' True.

Those are pretty interesting, but you need to remember that for the ones that sound scary, you're dealing with semantics, the others aren't saying death/doom/destruction, they're saying we're coming to an end of a cycle. Let me take one that I'm a little more familiar with:

Kali Yuga (end time of man). The Coming of Kalki & critical mass of Enlightened Ones.

Another interpretation of Kali Yuga is "Age of Darkness." A yuga is an age or a cycle. Hinduism considers the current times an era of "spiritual decline." Kalki is, depending on which interpretation you select, either the avatar of or the tenth incarnation of Vishnu, who is predicted to come at the end of the Kali Yuga to lead humanity into the Golden Age. Vishnu is the Hindu god who is the preserver of worlds. I don't see that in any way as bad. I see that saying our species, our planet, is moving out of a spiritually bereft time into a better time spiritually.

You really have to be careful when you read stuff like this. If you're not familiar with the language and the culture you can get mired up pretty quickly.

Here's the thing with the future, it's not written in stone, there are variables and the farther away you get from the point of the "here and now" (despite the fact that time is as much an illusion as matter is) the more variables that come into play. Obviously, just from the sake of common sense, it's easier to make a prediction about what's going to happen tomorrow than it is to make a prediction about what's going to happen in 100 or 500 years.

But just for the sake of discussion, let's say I once had access to the world's best magickal crystal ball and let's say I actually asked it the powerball question. The basic answer would probably come back, in short "In the scheme of things, those stupid green pieces of paper do not matter any more than those stupid green dots do on EliteFitness." You will not be a better person, a more loving father, a more considerate husband if you are rich. You might think you will be, but the reality is you will change, your wife will change, your children will change, and it won't be for the better, it never is.

From a spiritual perspective (and if your getting into any form of divination you are on spiritual ground whether you admit it or not, by the simple fact that you're dealing with supernatural or paranormal) your true life is so much more than 80 or so odd years on this dungball. Believe me, 200 million dollars really is just a bunch of green pieces of paper. It's the equivalent to whatever favorite stuffed toy or blanket you had when you were 2. You sobbed your eyes out when mommy took it away to wash it, but where is it now? Money is only worth what it can buy, and it cannot buy the things that truly matter, from a spiritual perspective: an open heart, trust, compassion, grace, love. All that raises humanity to its greatest heights costs nothing and is accessible to the least of us. Prayer, meditation, a good heart, loving your friends and family, all of those things are free.

And it's been my observation that if you hold those ideals in your heart, you will never be in a state of want or lack. You may never be rich, but by the same token the universe will see you are taken care of.
