anyone been across the border to mexico from san diego?

check it out. Lots of fakes dude. Try Seattle Pharmacia, ask for Conrad. Proces are more but the shits real. Take print outs of recent fakes with you to double check anything you pick up. Yes you can walk back across racked up.....Or so I've heard.

Once you cross the border into Tijuana if you walk just a little bit all of the vendors are right there. Lots of cool stuff to buy too. You can talk those guys into almost any price you want. If they say "no" to a price just say "thank you" and walk away, trust me they will chase you down and give you the price you want.

You will see a lot of little children trying to peddle candy and whatnot. Whatever you do, do not buy from them as you will have twenty kids chasing you to buy from them as well. It is very sad to see these little two and three year old kids peddling stuff for their parents, but it is easier just to walk away and not buy from them.

ask a taxi driver to take you to the san ysidro port of entry. From there just walk through the turnstalls into mexico.

Revolution Blvd is where all the vendors, etc. are. Great during the day. Scary at night cuz the cops come looking for drunk gringos to hole up and extort money from (happened to me).

There's beaches, clubs, restaurants, the whole 9 yards. Tons of shit to see and all cheap. Don't forget to buy great cheap clothes and cool knock-offs.

so a taxi is our best bet.... was thinking about taking the trolley. Guess i will have to find out when the trolley runs back to the area our hotel is in. We are just gonna go down for a day trip.

trolley works too. whatever gets you there is all that matters.

i went through the border twice in 97 and prolly could've been carrying whatever i wanted stuffed in my pockets and pants and what not and they would've never noticed. of course, i went during Labor Day weekend too, so it was busy as hell for border patrol.

When I went a while back there are vendors right across the boarder.
But the town is a bit farther in.

I would say it was worth taking the taxi just to see the town.

no shit. Downtown LA is a spitting image of Tijuana, so i wonder why people even bother going down there. Most of Tijuana is already up here.
