herring is on the oily side
but realize that these are beneficial fats
hi omega 3's and 6's
but i suggest fresh herrings rather than processed (ie salted, marinated or smoked)
one fish i might not suggest is escolar aka oilfish
it is so oily it is can be akin to taking a ex-lax

Cod filet (high on protein) and Salmon (fatty). Both aren't really expensive around here.

But you eat tilapia? Tilapia is a freshwater garbage fish.
did i say i ate tilapia?
i serve tilapia in my restaurant because of demand
i am very very picky in what i eat
tilapia aka jesus fish is a distant relative to the catfish not as fatty
originating from africa it can live where most fish cannot
so it was the ideal fish to farm
it is lo fat so it became popular

personally i cannot pass by pacific king salmon(esp bristol bay, copper river or yukon river), mackerel, king fish, sea bass and yellowtail
i rarely eat fresh water fish
i was merely answering the man's query
