good way to put it.lolDBBT said:body doesn't burn just fat, it burns some muscle too, that's not an option in the poll
while you'll be in a catabolic state upon wakening and doing the cardio...i think its best to have a steady flow of anabolics in you to kind of say fuck off a little bit to the muscle catabolism so it can concentrate on fat burning.![]()

devunn said:I never do cardio on an empty stomach... your body is in a catabolic state when you first wake up and needs some food so you burn the least amount of muscle possible. At least thats how I feel. I definitely don't have enough muscle to take any chances.

Nelson Montana said:Adding anabolics into the scenario is a moot point. Of course, it improves everything. But it doesn't suddenly make a bad concept a good one.

peteefs said:I love early morning cardio, i usually have a water 1 scoop protein shake the second i get out of bed, on the treadmill within 10 minutes, 45 minutes at a steady rate then 2 scoop water protein 15 minutes after.
I got down to about 8% bodyfat.
Would you say this was a good or a bad method?

maccer said:If you know your fat burn rate (and this can be measured very very acccurately) You can do low intensity cardio and burn all fat. The empty stomach helps mobilise fact - some guys I know have the newleaf equipment that lets you tesr this. THey have done loads of metabolic testing and low intensity am cardioat your best fatburn rate is superior for burning fat. If you do it in the evening its not as good unless you leave at least 3 hours since you ate.
maccer said:I was doing HIIT am 4 times a week and did real well to start, then after I lost lots of fat I started losing muscle - you can tell because me training top stunk of amonia (did not realise this was a catabloic sign till I had been doing this for ages
HIIT is great but better on food in the stomach - I find it makes me ravenous throughout the day though
OMEGA said:Not a moot point do to AAS being quit ANTICATABOLIC.( it why they give it to patients and HRT clients sometimes to preserve muscle mass, not only sexual function)
And again its a bad concept for you as applicable to your experiences which of course is valid, just as valid as ours on the apposing side based our great results.
again even though a calorie is a calorie,Cardio for people like us will raise BMR to a marked degree if done in the AM asap, the earlier in the day you do it, the earlier in the day you've raised your BMR. You will burn calories for a longer period of waking-hours .Hence more Net calories burned.
ADD a PM lifting session and good by fatty

i had that same omonia smellin sweat when i droped my carbs real low and my weight training went to shitD_Mac said:Really, I never new about the amonia thing. I think thats what my wrestling shirts always end up smelling like. What is your guys opinions of wrestling for fat loss/ muscle gain (when natural). Wrestling gets you in great cardio shape but wrestlers aren't usually quite the specimens that a lot of wieghtlifters become, what's your opinions on that?
great then...end of discussionNelson Montana said:Did you read the original thread? I call bullshite on morning cardio.
OMEGA: the fact that anabolics are anti-catabolic is EXACTLY why it's a moot point! The drugs are counteracting the negative effects of cardio on an empty stomach! (???)

In what way are steroids anti-catabolic during cardio/fat loss? Don't muscles require stress and load to get the steroids to bind to the receptors to force growth? Or does simply having the steroids floating around cause growth, or stop catabolism by some other mechanism? What's really going on there?
