This happened to a buddy of mine in Ohio. His wife was shitfaced drunk, started hitting him in the face with the heal of her shoe while he was driving on the freeway. He finally tried to restrain her, she got scratched up, he pulled over was trying to call the police, she continued to attack him, the cops arrived and arrested him and he spent the weekend in jail.

His best bet would have been to pull the truck over, not touch her and just start running. She would have stumbled out into traffic and that would have been the end of the story.
