i notice that a lot of you build/buy a lot of equipment, which is awesome. but, when you move, how the hell do you take it with? do you have to rent a u-haul? i'd imagine it's very tedious

i'd love to have a bunch of equipment, but i would also hate it for said reason

i also suppose a guy could just forget about it if they were in/planning on going to college too, eh?

i have it at my grandmothers house that is 3 miles away i hope she dosnt move i have no clue where the stuff would go. working out at my townhouse in my court would be funny but my neighbors may call the cops and i live across the street from the community pool and center so everyone would see me and think i am crazy;) . yeah and college you are just scrwed i would say:( .

not neccisarily.......... just think, research....... if there is a will there is a way, and in strongman thats a motto!!!!

you could workout a lot of things at college. b fold has a trailor, but i dont really move around a lot. but its doable. i have met kingc_79 twice..........both times, he had his yoke in the back of his silverado1500.

I helped the Kokomo IN guys move last year.....It took something like 3 trips with 2 long trailers. Can you imagine what would happen if 600+lb tires, and 225-380+lb stones rolled off of the trailers, down the road :worried:?Luckily that didnt happen

actually im moving from my parents guest house to college in spring. we are buyin house round nov or so.. i figure it would take a uhaul and a truck load to get all my training equipment there alone.lol. and it's almost 4hrs away. by then ill hopefully have set of 10stones and a few barrels for loading, super yoke, conans wheel/viking/squat rack/lot of weights, log or 2, farmers, sled, and 3 tires(now i have a 600 and one lil over 800) gonna be a pain in the ass to move.lol

u'd be surprised how much u can fit in back of a reg full size truck. I've had my yoke, two logs, two sets of farmers all in the back at once. filla trailer w/my tires, sled and conans/viking and squat rack i hope to have by then and i'm set.

I am glad that where ever I move...my travel and storage will be paid for...:)

Think about it...there are just things that 'have to be' in Strongman. It is like telling you...you can't eat more than 2 meals a day. As a weight lifter you just have to eat...and I just have to move my equipment. Doesn't matter how long it takes...I just have to.

Going to College? Build it, bring what you can (farmers, sled, etc...) and a local gym should let you keep your things there.

I think most strongmen/women are practically "professional movers". Reason being, we get asked to help our friends (and their friends) to move just about ALL the time.

Am I right? :D

So, movin' our own stuff ain't no biggee. But then, I don't have my own equipment.....yet. hehehe
