adding spices to foods bad?

I am confused, some guys say spices are bad for your foods cause of gut issues and some say spices are good. I love spicy foods and love to use hot sauce on everything. I also love garlic and onions, I always ask for extra in restaurants. In terms of pure health and bodybuilding purposes can these be okay ?
 
Add spices I like them, dont pay attention to anyone that says they are bad
 
depends on the spices

I recommend following a low FODMAP approach. gut health is extremely important

things like paprika, black pepper, salt, herbs, etc. are low fodmap options

onions and garlic are high fodmap. those are the ones i would avoid
 
Salt and pepper are all that I use. They are to rough on my gut. If the food is prepared correctly it tastes good on its own.
