There is a lot that I just don't have the words for. So much that comes across my mind. The people of www.elitefitness.com have been so much more than just some names on a computer screen. They have been my family, my loved ones, the ones that I have shared my heart with, and my real life friends.
George is having a membership drive in which those who become Platinum members will be donating at least a part of their membership towards a sponsor for me and my training/competing. A lot has taken place on Elite over the past few months and the past few weeks have been very crazy to say the least. Even if you do not wish to contribute to my sponsorship through Elite, please (if you can afford it) join Elite and support the site. No matter if you wait till Monday when the sponsorship/membership drive is complete...join Elite and help support the betterment for the future of this website.
We are all a family. I believe that we can all come together and make this site a better place to come to everyday. It has changed a lot over the past 2 years and maybe it has been the administration...but maybe it has been us too. Be positive, share a smile, send some karma to say thanks or good job. Brighten up this board everyday for someone...have a laugh or tell a joke. Think about what others think or feel before you post something...they have feelings too. We should all make this place...a better family to be around every day.
Someone asked on the Platinum Hardcore board why it was important to sponsor me in my training. Here is a simple copy/paste of my response.

I was not expecting any of this at all to be honest. I was not aware that this would be taking place and it is a huge shock for me.
I look back about a month ago and realize that had a sponsor picked me up and sent me to Miami for the Viking Strength Challenge I would have not only been on TV in 80 million homes in the US but 125 million homes in Europe. I would have also qualified for the Pro Nationals in the same year that I turned Pro. Being on the Pro Nationals puts me in many more US homes once again this Fall as well as many magazines and internet sites. All it would have taken was someone putting their name on my shirt...
Right now it is very important for me to start learning more about the sport. I need more equipment, supplements, traveling time/money, etc... There are 2 BIG pro qualifers left this year but because I have not had anyone give me any major sponsorship leads I have not prepared for either Vegas or California. Every sponsor wants to see that someone else will back me first.
There are many big training days coming up in the US between now and late Summer. Washington State, St. Louis MO (really need to be there a lot), Kokomo Indiana (5 pro's there), Columbus OH, etc... It takes money and trust from a sponsor to get me there. It will take a lot of patience for a sponsor to realize that I am an investment AND that I am going to lose for a long time. I may set a Personal Record on EVERY event and still place near last.
To get to the next level it will take a sponsor or two (who believe and trust in me), lots of time, lots of patience, and lots of hard work. I need a sponsor and www.elitefitness.com is my first choice. I feel that I can really benefit a sponsor a lot if they will put their belief, support, and trust into me.

Once again, please support Elite. If you don't feel comfortable giving between now and Friday for the membership/sponsorship drive...then give next week. Let's all make a difference and do what we can to make this a better place.
