ahhhh, subconsiously look what your saying....lol.... tell your friend to move the date of the wedding... just joking, I know you have to do what is best for you. I just honed in on that.

I think your legs are coming in great, and I know Sassy mentioned shoulder caps to me as part of figure... and yours seem to be capping quite nicely as well ;) Can't wait to see the progress after a few more weeks!!

(You sure the judges wouldn't like that side pose/pucker face :lmao: I don't see why not)

I like the side pucker face I think you should do it!!!! Looking amazing! and you can sure see the definition in the legs popping out, and yeah I said it before but everything looks AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWESOME!

bUNNY, EVERY time u update your pics you can see some differences honestly! I LOVE your back, and it looks liek those sissy calves are finnaly growing. Alittle, but i can see some difference!

Seriously, coming in Great. Its nice to see someone that has come as far as you STILL have progress as quick as you do. BUT thats because how good you diet/train. Your an inspiration to all bunnz!

Hahahahahah THANK YOU for telling me like it is ! I love it. Sometimes my calves hold so much water & have swelled when I was younger (NFC why), I joke about cankles ... lol Bastages ...
I STILL incorp my cheat/rewards in, haven't cut those yet either ... not sure when I will... maybe 6 weeks out, maybe 5, 4? I dunno yet ...
I am STILL thicker than I'd like to be. I don't wanna diet hard right now and rip thru my delts as inches come off ... that would NOT be good.

On that second picture, the way you are on your toes. Do you do that too when you do calf raises? I had someone point out to me a few years ago that it's common for people to angle your feet like that, with the heels reaching to each other. He told me to focus & ensure that the plane of the bottom of the foot stays horizontal to the floor when doing calf raises. I must admit, it is tougher & I think it helped me a lot.
BTW, I love your back & shoulder definition. Don't know if I've said that before, but it is awesome. Am I repeating myself here? Don't know if I've said that before, but it is awesome. Am I repeating myself here?

Repeat away. Thanks HiDn, encouragement helps. For anyone that thinks I don't need it? You are WRONG. I need it. :)

Anyway, no I don't do that on calf raises. I try to push with my big toes since I have obvious imbalances in my ankles, could be from how the right one healed after I got hit my a car & severed a bizzone & I had reconstruction & all that fun stuff. :D I also walk on the outsides on my feet often, you can't TELL but you can see it in the way my shoes wear down.

SO with that said, lol way TMI here, when you pose in heels your HEELS should be together in the shoes, I was mimicing the stance, or trying to without the heels. :)

I haven’t taken the max dose for D root the past two days. Forgot them. Last night was my reward meal, I had Mexican, it was good. My knee feels better today, I popped 2 Ibpro before & after workout. Kept Legs light & controlled, easy leg day…makes me want more. I SHOULD go back to the gym tonight for Back & post delts but we’ll see .. I have to reschedule some things to fit in YPT on Wed. am’s. I had a great back / delt workout today, super'd calves in there, then PWO intervals. Walk to & from gym was NICE & enjoyable. Been icing my knee with frozen veggies while chill with my moms & puppies (babysitting my bros choc lab & well as samson.) I'll be journaling my training & fit daying my diet as usual but I am not going to be posting as often. My focus next few weeks needs to be on work & other things I have neglected.

Anyway, no I don't do that on calf raises. I try to push with my big toes since I have obvious imbalances in my ankles, could be from how the right one healed after I got hit my a car & severed a bizzone & I had reconstruction & all that fun stuff. :D I also walk on the outsides on my feet often, you can't TELL but you can see it in the way my shoes wear down.

SO with that said, lol way TMI here, when you pose in heels your HEELS should be together in the shoes, I was mimicing the stance, or trying to without the heels. :)

I cannot believe I am about to say this, but all morning this indecisive Libra said to herself, "There is NO WAY you can miss Joe's wedding...".

Sassy always gives great advice & one of those things was to have a back up show date... that COULD be the Ironman in December IN the city. At this time I do not know, I am really sick to my stomach.

Paid for my NPC card.

I already bought 20 tickets for the show in Nov. (AM/PM show)

I already paid for my suits (OMG are they going to be beautiful).


There are NO refunds on the tickets. I already asked the venue host. I am keeping the suits because I WILL use them one day.

Suffice to say this has been poor planing on my part.

Lemme tell you a little something about Joe. Our fathers worked together back in the day & we had no idea of that when we became so close... our last names caught the ear when we would talk about each other to our families... now we know why.

While we were both enjoying the fruits of having new boy/girl friends, like some friends do, we fell out of touch. Do you know what brought us back together? Cancer. Yup, at the same time when I was getting sick, unknowingly to one another, he was recovering from cancer that hit him out of the blue, while I was in a hospital bed with NO ONE able to tell me wtf was wrong with me.

THAT conversation was one for the record books...
Me - "HEY YOU how the heck have you been?!?!"
Him - "YOU are NEVER going to guess what I've been through..."
Me - "Oh yeah, I think I may just be able to top ya ... you go first..."

You can imagine the utter shock & amazement as we told each other that we both got sick, what happened, etc...

I HATE making a commitment & NOT following through...

I will sit here & beat myself up about it, but I cannot do that ....

The old Amanda would ALWAYS put her friends first no matter what, sacrificing MY happiness to see others smile ...

"Do this for me" ... I could not possibly go through with this show knowing that I wasn't being there for a friend, a VERY special, UNIQUE friend who I can say KNOWS first hand what so many others in my life can never fathom. Ever.

I apologize a hundred times over for going back on my commitment. In this situation there is no way I would not feel selfish if I missed one of the most memorable days in his life, because honestly, he may only have 'one' chance at this ...

I'm sorry. I have to go train.:rose:

I too being a Libra know what your indecison feels like.
I too do put others wants before my needs.
As I read your post all I could think about your decision was "Going to Joe's wedding IS doing what she NEEDS" postponing the show is not setting your goal on the FORGET it list. It just WILL be a later date.
This weekend was hell with me too, do you think it is the moon?

That's one helluva a way to live Buns! In the end, sometimes all that matters is what we do for others and the happiness we bring to others while we are here. K to you for doing what you feel is best. :heart: There will be lots of shows, but as you said, maybe on one chance at this. How could you not go?
 
Sassy is soooo right, there are other dates. I know what your going through right now and I know it is hard, but it does get better.

Set a date for a new show, start training for that one! who knows maybe I will be able to come to the next one! :)

Thanks. I usually just do monkey hangs with every workout & do 1/4 pulls so I use only the lats and not the arms... also when I can't pull my phat ass up lol :)

Pulldowns, Which ones? Iso Lat, BTN, or Wide Grip? lol :) I have to be very careful of my form here, for some reason they just seem easier than they should be, I need to start keeping the weight light & do some con/ecc holds.


Al you're funny, I dont wanna drop the weight on my face lol... I almost did with the MIL press, lucky I caught the lower pins and literally saved face lol I think that was at 85 a few weeks ago. :whatever:

I also think you made the right decision. True friends are a rarity & the relationship needs to be nurtured. Not having many, I know how true that is.
I failed on a bench press a coupla weeks ago. Had to get wifey to deload the bar for me, while it's sittin on my chest. :rolleyes: embarrassing.
 
Hey B -- there's ALWAYS another show -- you aren't so deep in that you really lose anything (the show tix... ugh) but shit always happens that is beyond your control and there's no reason the situation should make you feel like you are compromising yourself - exactly the reason I say don't set yourself to live or die by one show and always have as much flexibility & option in the situation as you can. But even beyond that, you never lose anything in all the work you put in in experience, mental focus, etc. -- there's always another show, particularly in that you have ALL of next season starting in late February as well.

But think of it this way- you get to go to that wedding! Make sure you go guilt free so you do enjoy it as much as you should!

Yes I sure am. Hope you are doing well! This is my busy season with work as well so I prolly won't be on as much. Congrats on the squat PR -- just a thought - you can always go to box squats to work on control and I like to use them to focus on an explosion upward (PL style). This might also be a step towards higher weights or reps at where you are now.

Shit ATFs w/ anything more than 35's make me knees want to pop out.
 
Hey girl.. I had no idea you had two logs going on. Sorry to hear about your no show, but in the end it's probably the best. Gives you more time to prepare, and you get to make the wedding.

THAT is just the start of it, NO JOKE. My boss # 1 was in here, laughed & shoot his head at all the crap I had hit my desk in the matter of seriously 10 minutes. I work better under pressure & in a go go go setting but I am just so overwhelmed lol. Boss # 1 (of 4) is my fave, understanding & awesome. Anyway, lol my world treating me like toliet paper right now! At least I feel like the extra soft double roll!!!! It can always be worse. :rose:

I LOVE how I try to NOT train something the previous day, and it still gets worked during these sessions!!! I.E. I trained abs the day before the first one, OUCH... then Legs yesterday ... OUCH OUCH...

EVERYTHING will get worked with what this lady (who is friggin AWESOME) is having me do. When you get a good teacher who can show you error, push you harder, explain certain techniques & mindsets for the Yoga, it's really so much better than watching a tape or taking a class so raw & wing it. I bought 20 sessions and got two free .. shows you how much I DO like it for me to splurge on a PT of any kind after the facade with my previous training partner :splat:

It's still early to say, but for breathing, balance, posing, poise, lengthening/stretching I think it is wonderful. It is going to be every wed 7-8 am. :) I would list the things I did but we are more into intro things still & she is giving me more ideas to do on my own.

The best thing I like about people like her is after the first session I didn't pay for it upfront, I didn't commit to a package, and she showed me as much as she good without confusing me to do on my own supplemental to my current training. She has great ideas to work on for my 'specific' goals. Other trainers polluted my opinon of them seeing they manipulate the person to keep coming back by not providing them with a springboard of ideas. It's fantastic to work with a genuine person.

She is all about the + + + being a life coach with other credentials under her belt ... I feed off that energy.
