5x5, weaker the following week

I've been making nice gains with 5x5, and although this has only happened to me once(today), just curious if this ever happens if you guys.

Basically, I should have gotten 5x5 with my weigh today on bench, but instead I got like 4,3,3,2,2. The week before I got 5,5,4,4,3. Last night I did some grappling and stuff, and did feel sore in various places, including my chest, which is the likely cause for trouble this week, just wonder if this ever happens with you bigger guys, I'm new to lifting and 5x5 is the first thing I've ever done, so I realize this is a big newbie question.

You guys ever make little or even negative gains one week, on good rest?, or is it just cause of the previous physical activity the night before?

yea grappling takes a lot out of ya, i wouldnt be too worried, yer muscles were probably just still tired.
 
Probably didnt eat enough/get enough sleep during the last week

Eat more and sleep more, your weights will go up..., could also be the grappling as everyone else mentioned
