Well,

this is the first update of my original cutting thread:

http://www.elitefitness.com/forum/showthread.php?t=367540

My initial stats, as of 13.09.04, when I decided to take my life back were:

264 lbs
40% Body Fat

158,4 lbs LBM
105,6 lbs FAT

Today, 5 months after starting this journey, these are my stats:

214 lbs
27% Body fat

156,26 lbs LBM
57,8 lbs FAT

As you can see, of the 50 pounds lost, 47.8 pounds are fat, and only 2.14 pounds are LBM (a fine price to pay, if you ask me)

How this looks graphically, you can find here:

http://www.ccfiles.de/PintocaProgress5monthsFeb2005.jpg

Blue Line is total weight
Orange Line is LBM, see how it remains steady
Black Line is Fat weight, it can only go in one direction: DOWN!!!

Anyone interested on how I have done this, please read my first post (link above). As for the specifics of my nutrients, caloric intake and so on, I published a calculator this week that will show you all the details (it is loaded with my data, so you can see what I'm doing now, but you can change it to show how it woud look like for you: just add your weight and current BF%).

The link for the calculator is:

Hope this helps somebody (ideas, motivation, etc). It does help me to have a crowd of people where I can share my experience.

As usual, any questions/comments, etc., feel free to ask.

Peace

I forgot, some of you might be wondering, How far still do I want to get (I get this question all the time from the people I know). Well, to be honest, I want to be single digit BF for the first time in my life...

so 9.xx % is my ultimate goal...(at least for now), and my plan is to get there within the next 10 months. I know I may need to stop at a certain time (not before 15%) and bulk for a while before continuing, but that is OK.

dang! GOod Job! Throw some before and after pics up! I'd like to see that.

Dude, thanks for this... I just realized it takes a lot of balls to post a pic of yourself... while looking for some pics, I wanted to cry just by looking at how I was... SHIT, all those wasted years. This just gave me new wind to want to be the best ME I can.

Gues I have never mentioned it, but the real reason why I decided to change is that we have a 5 weeks old boy, whom I want to be able to take to the pool and to the beach and not be ashamed of the body his Dad has... (as stupid a reason as that is, I want to be a role model, a real one in all senses). I also want to be around for a long while, now that we have our own Sleep Deprivation Manager in the house.

Anyway, sorry about the ranting, I trust you all to give me advice, the least I can do is trust you to see how I look...let the bashing begin...

The "After pics" are from a party 2 weeks ago.

congrats man! thats awesome and as much as it fuels your fire it also helps other people in showing that stuff like that can be done.

shit man thats a huge improvement! i bet ur gettin pumped getting ready to get a build on ya, and a muscular build this time! congrats man, happy for ya

Thanks guys for all the support so far.

Last night I had my monthly fitness test, and thanks to all that cardio I've been doing, I am now pumping a not so bad 245watts (they have a little table where that number is in the upper range of "Good". After "Good", comes "Very Good", followed by "Wow".... :-)

Just to put it in perspective, I started this test in 115watts (back in October) and that equals smack-middle "Severely Limited"... I then went to past the rest of Severely Limited, flew through Normal, zip through Good and my goal for next month is to get into the Very Good club....

I know this doesn't mean shit... but everything that helps you set a objective, quantifiable objective (one you cannot blame on anybody else if you fail) is good for me!!!
