Well, at just shy 2 cups (1.82 cups) of oats, plus the cottage cheese, plus the milk powder and the casein it is in my personal opinion to be too much gluten and too much dairy to successfully drop to a low body fat.
Oats are a fantastic food, great fiber, they keep your blood sugar level, it's a complex carb as you know - both carb and protein and it's a good source of manganese and selenium but it's still a part of the gluten grain family which is like wheat - (ie. bloat) which is not great when you have to get your body fat to such a low level.
I would use a sweet potato as a replacement the carb is slightly higher, protein slightly lower but the fat is also lower than oats - if I recall sweet potato may have high sodium but the bloat factor for many people is lower.
But like everything what works for some doesn't always work for others.
My response was based on thinking that the diet posted was the cutting diet and possibly where the discouragement came from which is why I asked what I did.
