I don't think it is fake. I doubt any mom would let her kid go on national TV and say that stuff just to be on TV. I think the mom really is looking for help for her daughter. It is sad that kids with mental problems like this whose parents don't have the money can't get access to mental health resources most of the time.

With regard to her not being pregnant, her mom said that she was basically forcing her to take a birth control pill each day.
