My best is 335 lbs x 1 rep 295 lbs x 3 reps

18 years old, 5' 11", 200 lbs, and still all natural motherfuckers.

I could probably do a little more on the max now, I havent tried for a while.

AS like a lot of other members here, i havnt tried to max in a while cuz the shoulder thing but i can three rep 250 at 5/7 170lbs...Ill probly catch some shit 4 this but chest has always been my strong point but i dont like to push it as heavy as i could out of fear of injury..

My lil bro takes the cake in my eyes tho.....15 years old, 5/8 140lbs solid, put up 260 for 1 rep usin nothin but protein powder..Little fucker blew me out the water when i was 15....lol

I wouldnt be afraid to push yourself to 300 lbs or so. With correct technique and a spotter just take it slow on the way down and you should be fine

I don't know what my 1 RM is on the bench now, but I work out with between 235-265. Some days I'll do 5 or 6 sets of 6 or 7 reps at 265, or start off with a couple sets of 235 and then do 1 or 2 sets to exhaustion at 265. I randomly switch out.

Charles

I just hit 380 lbs on bench the other day x 2, after doing 370 lbs x 3 and a 2 minute break. I'm on my way to the 400 lb club.

Might add.....no juice.

45 years old. 6' 225 lbs

Haven't gone past 365lbs for a while now but I am doing muliple sets of 10-11 reps with that weight and 325lbs on incline in the 5-6 rep range.

dam ebbs!

135x8 last time, hopefully 140x6-7 next time... want to hit at least 160 by the end of march which should be very doable.

hit 140X1 3 weeks ago.
did 140X9 last week.:elephant::elephant:

going for 145 next on tuesday! that 3lbs more than my bodyweight!!

its def doable!! i wanted to hit 140 by mid march, and its waaayyy before march.

That's my girl! You'll have 150 by your b-day!

As far as my max I'm guessing in the 450-460 range. I'm in a light phase now so doing sets of 8-10. My goal is to hit 500 comp style by summer.

Cheers,

I can do 255 around 6-7 times for my 4th set. So im guessing my max would be somewhere close to or around 300. Maxing out hurts my elbows so I dont do it much. 19 years old, 6ft 180, natural.

That's pretty strong for 6 foot 180!!! I'm at 6 foot 190 and can do 225x4 or 255x1

you can do anything at 18 and 19 years old man haha. I'm 5'11 195 lbs and I can do 225 lbs for 4 sets of 10 easy. 275 x 5 reps. 335x1 rep.

Youth: the most potent steroid.......and legal!

Yeah but I was impressed because 6 foot 180 is pretty thin, hell at 6 foot 190 I'm pretty thin. That's my goal though is to be thin and not look too strong but actually be reallt fucking strong:evil:

Long arms are the anti-bench too. And at 6 foot guys can have some pretty lanky appendages

I have super long arms for my height which is part of the reason my bench isn't that great.

Just saw you are in Denver, I'm in Arvada.

Cheers,

Oh right on man yea Robs my boy haha

Where do you two lift?

I miss those guys man, my buddies at Demver amd South Denver especiall. Ive been out for a while with an injury and im itching to get back

Just getting back into the gym since 2002. Been back at it about 4 months.

My bench about an hour ago was 265 x 3

375x4. deadlift 575 using straps.500 squatx5 1200x10 leg press.all last year. was on prop, tren ace and beastdrol.5ft8 214lbs. took 2 months off and just getting back into the groove done 315x3 this past tue

I benched 150 for an easy 5 reps before I broke my hand. Hopefully I can bench more when I'm back. I'm 16, and weak.

Just hit 365lbs on Incline today for the first time unassisted and hit that shit 6 times too. I haven't done flat bench for at least 4 months now and my shoulders are very happy with me for that fact.

i can DB press 140 lb's ( 2 x 70 lb DB ) 15 reps. this is performed at a 25 degree angle, arms never break parallel and i do not lock out. ( 3\5 range of motion) each rep takes a full 5 seconds. 75 seconds total. 45 seconds later i perform another set in the same fashion.

this is repeated 3 - 4 times. try to do this one time.

as far as a one rep max............ who cares other than peeps who powerlift exclusively. much respect for those dudes but it serves no purpose in bodybuilding and is actually counter productive.

Ya maximum lifts aren't really good for much if your main focus is looks.

I train for strength and size and strength in general is important to me. I pretty much train like a powerlifter.

If I was strictly bodybuilding I could care less what my maxes were.

Current max bench 2.5 months back into the gym is probably 260-270.

415x1 couple months ago. I dont max much. Its risky esp @ my age but sometimes you just cant help it. Have had shoulder surgery so I limit it. I use reppin 225 to gauge my strength more often. Got 225x26 about a month ago. Im 46 yrs old, 6'3", 275lb.

outstanding bro! i'm 46, 6'4 245. i usually work with DB's but occasionally
i'll use the bar and rep out 225x20 for burn \ warmup. never tried to find
my max rep with 225 but i'm sure it wouldn't exceed 26. i use a 3/5
range of motion. it keeps the pecs under constant tension and is really
more difficult than full range. stopping with arms parallel to ground
also has the advantage of minimizing risk of injury.

I have put up 440 for 2 reps this year, @ 220 lbs.

Some solid benchers in here. I'm gonna pwn face on the bench. Current max 285 after 3.5 months back in training. Will break 350 or more in a year from now.

I dont bench anymore do to injury. Upper chest fies with 80's I am addicted to millitary presses 185lbs 3 reps.

I'm shocked at how honest people are being.

for me its 315 is my MAX . I'm 5' 6" 185 pounds with just 2 cycles under my belt

there are a few guys at my gym who are stronger and are getting mid 400's. but they are overweight (well to me atleast, not the 'look' i want) and they have major joint issues.

I noticed when i do heavy weights and max out i also start getting joint problems.

I was able to put up 135 at bench 4x's, I'm 5'4' and weigh 127lb. The guy spotting me said it was decent for a chick. I was happy cause 3 years ago I couldn't even do a push-up.

that is amazing for a female.

i see guys at the gym who are weaker then that and weigh more then you.. very impressive.

Coolio, thanks. There aren't too many chicks kickin it in the free weight section of my gym (when I go that is). So I don't have anyone to compare my progress with.

I am at 250 at 4 reps, each set I come to a complete stop on my chest for just a second then back up. Never max benched yet, but I would guess I could get up 275-300 at least once.

saw some guys at the gym benching heavier then they were capable of and not using correct form. bar should touch the chest and elbows lock. butt, shoulders, and feet should stay touching the surface. that is a correct bench press.

ahhh i completely agree! I hate seeing this guy put up 405, but hes on his toes, his ass is off the bench, he touches his stomach because its way more puffed out than his chest, and he barely locks out. Im just waiting for the day he injures himself.

Oh yea he also does bench at least 3x a week, maybe 4x. And he wonders why he doesnt progress

Just sucks because he has a good build, so ppl suck in everything he tells them, not realizing that he has god awful form and that he really doesnt know what hes doin

BTW im benchin 325x4 now at 205lbs

Not much of a flat bencher, but I have easily closegripped 325 for a clean 3 prior to shoulder surgery in July. With ur run of the mill gnc supps.

Talk about hitting up an old thread, holy shit. Some need a little milking it seems.

345 x1 rep once, but i'll do 315 x6 no sweat. My endurance is a lot better than my total strength for some reason. I guess i've just conditioned myself that way. Does anyone else have this drastic of a strength change with such a small change in weight? Just curious. Or maybe that's normal, i dunno :/

Any man under 200 is a girl nobody cares about bench pressing anymore a real man has shoulders and legs and can bench 120lb dumbbells

295 at 169lbs. 105lb dumbbell incline.
And a left hook that will drop most 200lb men for that comment of us under 200 pounders.

Lol good one , I know who to stay clear of then:-), My Bench is only 255 for 5 reps, tried 265 an had to lay it down doh, But you have to start some place :-),

46
5'8
210 lbs

would love to hit 315 for working sets, but it's like everything else not working out for anyone else but me an My Wifey.

Hey guys, first post here on EF. Tons of great information on here and lots of knowledgeable guys. Anyway bench 510 and dead 675. Dead was a few years ago though. Bench was this past summer.

255 for bench at 202lbs and 15 years old.

I guess I have genetics on my side, or maybe its my hard work. I'm looking to hit 315 right before summer.

used to dumbbell chest flat press 130 pounds for 6,4, 4 before my injuries... now ill proboably be lucky to do 70s for this much... its been so long since i been in the gym... but finally making my return... sticking with machines for a while.... curently doing 130lb hammer chest press machine for nice and slow reps... 12-15 reps...

Lol correct form.... there is a safe form and a room for damage to your rotator cuff form. Just make sure your arms go slightly past 90â—‹ then push the weight back up.

I don't care how much I bench. It varies from workout to workout, the more I pre exhaust my chest the less weight I can bench. So I don't care.

Most I've ever done was 400 for a touch and go a few months back but I'm peaking for my powerlifting meet in December so I plan on hitting 415-420
