vB Skins - Powered by vBulletin ?

Its hard to get a black background its very hard to read things and everything runs together. There is a reason white is used often and its for its usability

I'm fond of the grey, or grey blue color schemes. When they're too dark they make me feel all tired, and when they're too bright it hurts your eyes after a while.

this is very hard for me to read for more than a few seconds. While its cool looking you have to think that this is a forum where people are (hopefully) going to put countless hours into. You need a nice blend of design and usability. I would not read EF this much if it used a color scheme such as that. Just too non user friendly

that I would like. The grey is easy on the eyes (EF uses it in all the quote boxes and shiat) and the black would give it some depth. Throw in your red highlights and it would look pretty dope.

That's what I had in mind. I'm meeting with my designer again on Monday...we'll see how it looks

Should be standard courtesy everywhere, too bad it isn't.

As long as it's not intrusive...

Sure.

5- should there be a separate forum for chat?

Absolutely, it'll keep the riffraff out of the serious forums.

Most serious forums use vBulletin, which is the software we have here at EF. Another choice is phpBB, which isn't bad and may be a bit more affordable. It seems to be the choice for smaller private boards.

Black backgrounds are easy on the eyes. Orange and yellow are the colors that show up best against black. You'll probably want to tint the text in message bodies to a very light gray instead of full white.

the general theme will be mma

there will be sub forums for boxing, other forms of martial arts, bodybuilding, some other sports, a separate forum for mma ring girls, picture forums and chat forums
