One question folks arent asking is why does Florida's SYG law not apply to Martin as well? Im sure he felt his life was in just as much danger (if not more) as Zimmerman claimed he was.

Cuz martin aint the one with the beat up head. And since he doesnt have a time machine we know the beating on zimmermans head had to happen before martin got shot

If someone believes there is an "imminent threat of bodily harm or death" then they just might put a bullet hole in that person. The other person doesnt have to have a gun they just have to present that threat in the mind of an RPM (reasonably prudent man).

Yes, the jury is able to convict him of a lesser charge (manslaughter) if they believe there is enough evidence to support that instead of murder.

Much like stand your ground, Florida law allows such a thing.
