I applied online for a local job that has unbelievable benefits.., 401K that matches dollar for dollar up to 15%!!!! Bonus payout throught the year, safety bonus, vested restricted stock plan, covered medical, dental, and vision insurance. I don't have a bachelors degree BUT I have the experience.., hopefully I get a call for an interview.

All of you, I appreciate your kindness.
I have a pretty resonable paying job, only con about it is that we don't have those types of benefits, only medical insurance which is good. My outlook in life is, at 38 years old I have to invest in my self for retirement by trying to work for a company with those types of incentives like retirement plan, 401K, etc. I have been getting out of debt these last 7 years and right now am close to being debt free of credit cards, truck, etc.

Congrats!! I hit that point last October after working at it for years too. It's a great feeling! :)

it was 94.. a storm front rolled close to us 10miles, and temp dropped to 73 20 minutes later it's back to 84 but the humidity is lower.. good times..

I find that unhappy people always try to make life miserable for the other person at work. Jealousy, envy, insecurity are the three biggest things I can think of as to why these types of people act the way they do. Nasty gossip and backstabbing is everywhere. Here at work, I have my own little office in a seperated building from main office and I like it that way cause their are only 3 others that share the small building with me.
I treat people how they want to be treated, so I can be a good person for the most part and sometimes I have to be a prick, Its not in my character to be but I'm nobody's punk.
I only had to approach 2 people in my lifetime about respect and confront them straight up, cut the bullshit and talk in front of my face. Gusee what? Those 2 people , afetr getting all the negative energy out, have respected me like a real close friend. I say " WOW!!

Good attitude. I agree, it isn't always fun to deal with assholes, but they're there, they're not going anywhere, and it's best to put those boundaries up REAL SOON. lol I don't feel the need to be evrybody's friend either, it's a policy that's always worked for me, and it spares me any pretension or drama from being around people I don't like. I'm really lucky I work with great people, but that wasn't always the case.

Because my profession is dominated by women, this has always been a big office issue. Over my career, I've definitely learned the hard way a time or two and now, it's something I stay away from. I'm fortunate, too, to have landed in a work place with a lot of good people and a really strong team, although the flip side of that is that a lot of them socialize together and that's something I usually don't do. I've taken a bit of slack over that but prefer to keep work separate from social life (outside of the annual Christmas party type of thing). The workplace gossip is always flying rampant after a weekend party!

Sad but true. The more women, the more drama. Not always, but usually.
 
Went out to my car this morning to drive to work, and my battery was completely dead. Called VW Roadside Assistance and it took them an hour and a half to get someone out to jump me.

Car started right up, couldn't figure out why it was dead until I got to work, shut it down, and noticed "hmm, why is the headlight switch on???"
