Mission: Clear Skin (Acnetame)

Hello ladies. I recently posted a thread about my struggles with Acne.

It is my goal to be completely acne-free! And nothing is going to stop me!

The thing is.. I use to have clear skin... I used a topical product called Benzamycin that worked by drying out the skin. Within the last year I started going to the gym and running (completely new to me) and I also developed an allergy to Peroxide... which is one of the main ingredients in most over the counter topical acne products. Since the allergies happened I went on a crazy desperate rampage, trying sooo many products & speaking with doctors. I have very stubborn acne.

I hate having acne, it sucks to wake up in the morning and look in the mirror and truly dislike what you see. It's been more than just months now that I've felt embarrassed to leave the house... sometimes I don't even want to go to the gym anymore because of it!

So, since posting that thread I mentioned before, I've had a package of Acnetame sent to me in the mail from needtogetaas. I got it around the 3rd this month and started immediately.

I took before pics and so far so good.... My skin is actually starting to feel Smoother and it seems to be healing. Wish me luck!!!! I really need it.

I'll post up the pictures once I get to the end of the trial so keep noted if you are interested.

:) That's really good news girl. I'm happy for you.

I've never had to deal with acne myself, but after the AAS cycle I just completed, I got a few (like 10 max) stupid little zits...not even legit zits, just little red dots lol on the tops of my shoulders and a few on my upper back. A few time I used some normal acne stuff I use to wash my face with (it makes it reeeeally soft and clean, I've always used it) and I use a scrubber brush thing and wash my shoulders and upper back (the best I can) with it, it works decent. I'm currently waiting on my acne kit from NTBM, I'll be sure to let you know how it works for me!

Do you know what the active ingredient is? Just curious.

Ya, acnetame works! Works better the longer you take it.

The first couple of weeks I was noticing my skin healing and less pimples... it continued to get better as I went through the first bottle. But it seems almost as if... as soon as I started the second bottle the results changed. My skin seems to be breaking out again... but it's different than usual... there are lots of small pimples that just pop the same day and go away a couple days later... I'm not really liking this, it feels like the product stopped working?? But maybe I'm wrong, maybe this is part of the process???? Is there something that I should know about. Does anyone have any advice? Should I stop taking the pills? And try something else?

Hmm... lets see... what has changed... I just moved this month to a different area and I haven't been going to the gym because I haven't decided what new gym to join and they are all pretty far away compared to usual... (but this shouldn't have a bad impact, rather better because there is less sweating)... That's about it guys.

acnetame seemed to have an effect for the first while then my face broke out again and remained that way... i then stopped and went clean then took b5 along with other vitamins again... didn't work.

i've started a cycle of birth control. hopefully it will help....

there is something seriously wrong with my skin, i can't believe nothing has helped :(

Peprika... Dealing with acne is extremely hard as a woman... And I understand your struggle.

A few suggestions you may want to try:

1) sea salt from the dead sea: use as scrub for face and body and leave on. For the face, I would put a bit on a wet cotton pad and let it melt a lol bit as it is extremely coarse. Thereafter, dab dab dab away and let the skin soak it up and dry up.

2) salicylic acid: neutrogena has this amazing grapefruit acne body wash that leaves your skin squeaky clean and fights breakouts thru the day. You can also find cleansers with the same active ingredient.

3) vinegar: I know this sounds way off but...a really good family friend of mine advised me once of having combated her problematic acne using white vinegar and an exfoliating glove. She rubbed her face with the glove or gentle face clearing brush soaked in white vinegar 2 x a day... Little by little her acne went away. She had really really really bad acne and has it NO more.

*** I do have to mention, as you obviously know... The skin has a 21 day cycle... And it sheds and regenerates. Therefore, any regime that you take on, you have to really give it a good 2-4 weeks to reaaaaaaaaaally see true results.

I wish you luck, and do forward your findings!
