that position on the pull-throughs looks very confusing. i think i'd somehow slingshot myself into a wall trying something like that. looks like it hits the glutes very well though

what weight were you using for Z squats. i know it would be significantly less than a regular squat. what benefits do Z squats provide?

I was using ONLY 135 there. Last week I think I did 315 for a few from the bottom position... They really work your hips, glutes, and abs...A LOT!!!!

You are right. If you don't lean back...way back...and pull backwards...you WILL fall over...

...just like you should do when you deadlift...

I thought that was just a mock cable hip thrust. Isn't a pull through when you "pull" the weight "through" your legs?

A great exercise for hamstrings is the pull-through. Face away from a low-pulley machine. Grab a single handle between the legs. Walk out a few feet and squat down, letting the handle be pulled through the legs as far as possible Use the repetition method. That is, go to failure on each set 3 or 4 sets is plenty. This exercise will build the hamstrings where they tie into the glutes.

Yes...I just called them a pull through...:) Just figured that they were a different variation. We do them wide legged, close legged, bent/squat legged, and stiff legged... We do them like this from time to time too...
