Yup, another deadlift PR post

CCJ> Thanks. Yeah, they are hex plates. Standard size, no less. (1 inch.) I bought them before I had even started DLing. Nice thing though, they have little handles for carrying them around. You will notice though, that the last gray 50lbs plate on the end is round.:D

B-Fold> Thanks bro. :) The thicker bar took a little while to get used to, but I have found my grip strength going through the roof. You notice I put on my dress sweats for the pic?:D

Louden> Thanks. Sears had them on sale. The only problem was the pulley system on it was set up for only olympic plates. (All mine are standard 1 in.) Soooo....I took it off.:D

Thanks for the kind words all.

Love the "dirt" gym look... I do, working out in foo-foo land I can truly appreciate it.

However, I NEVER understand why people stick out their hips at the apex of the deadlift... I mean, sure... I understand WHY you do it, but it serves no function... other than cause a possible injury, especially at such a weight.

You mean the lockout?

When I have the bar locked out I am standing upright with my shoulders back.

I used to do the thing with the dirt too :) Then I discovered dust lol. The trainers used to think I was nuts climbing all over the cages and racks looking to dry my hands. Those were happy days.......
