Exactly the reason why I work out at home instead of the gym.

When I'm doing deadlifts or squats, I don't need skinny teenagers coming over and telling me they're bad for my back.

When I'm doing push presses, I don't need people telling me I'm cheating too much on my military presses.

When I'm doing weighted chins, I don't need people coming over and telling me the lat pulldown machine is open now.

When I do cheat curls, cheat upright rows, or negative curls
people give me shit...But most of the time they are weak so I dont care...:)
 
No one usually says anything to me, which is nice. Last time someone said anything was when I was doing calf raises, after loading it up he joking said "ya missed a few".....plates that its since there were a couple left on the tree.
 
People dont generally say anything to me except, "Aren't you big enough? Maybe you should do some cardio??" Sure, everyone like to make fun of the fat guy... But, for any stuff that gets said, i would much rather be in a gym than lifting at home. I know its good to have your own stuff and never wait, but i like the energy there is just by having other people around. Even if i dont talk to anyone, i still like the fact that there is sound in the room and people talking and weight clanking, and general community atmosphere.... so long as they step away when i do my stuff.

i can't help but wonder, what are your stats(height, weight, lifts) zyglamail?
 
People say stuff to me fairly often.

I've gotten:
"You know, real weights are better than those big rubber bands."
"You'll get more out of it if you take that wooden thing off your chest." (referring to my 3-board)
And several others.

Not to mention all the strange looks I get setting up some of my stuff.
 
I'm not sure what gets more looks.

Taking the back pad off the leg press/hack squat and putting it across the bars of the dip station for reverse hypers.

or

Doing speed low box squats with my friend, only reps of 2 or 3, and as soon as one gets done we switch the weights and get right back to it with virtually no rest. Plus we're squatting on a box lower than most ppl go normally (not that most ppl squat...)
 
I love being a teen. I was doing ass to the floor squats today and i got yelled at for abusing my knees, I have heard so many conflicting opinions on this I've given up on listening
