Not sure but seem to remember a Nelson Demille novel one time that they have a totally different view on it. When someone goes down, that's it, take no risk to rescue the injured.

Let me just qualify I am completely full of shit here. Never got close to any of this stuff nor am I some wanna be soldier student expert. But not knowing what I am talking about has never stopped me from expressing an expert opinion.

Yep. Even in training women should not be expected to train with men. I can't imagine being put against a woman in close quarters combat, hand to hand, boxing etc. This, in itself, separates men and woman and also weaker men. Woman have many important roles in the military but not in the infantry. Yes, there are some woman that can kick some men's asses but it is not the norm. It's not sexism, it's realism.
