winny & depo provera?

I never experienced any of the "bad" side effects of depo. No cravings, no weight gain. Actually, for the first few months I was on depo I lost weight.
I can share what I consider to be the "good" side effects of depo. No period, no mood swings, and not having to remember to take a pill every day rocks!
Which Ortho pill are you taking? Right before I switched to the shot, I was on Ortho tri-Cyclen. The first 2 months were ok, but after that I experienced breakthrough bleeding. Not too bad, I could deal w/it. Then I began to have major mood swings and 3 straight weeks of bleeding! That was the final straw - I switched to the shot and I haven't looked back since.
As for my current winny cycle, I am so pleased w/my results. I have had significant gains in strength and my muscles are so hard! Needless to say, I am loving it!

badgrrl - glad you are having good results with the Winny so far! Good to wear you are ramping up to 10mg. Hope you get good results! So how long have you been on now? (have you started?) Remember, you can always drink winny too. ALthough I think your desages have to be a llittle higher because some of it isn't absorbed. I think.

That is very good about Depo - I hear more bad than good. It is always nice to see/hear the other side. Sometimes all you hear about is the bad so you forget there are some people that get good results and are happy with Depo (but that also goes for anything!).

Me? I ate like a bear getting ready to go into hibernation for a couple months. Ugh. Going to lose some body fat, then start a cycle of nandrolone phenylpropinate and anavar this spring. Done both separately, want to try them together. I need to lose some BF and gain some strength! I'm pretty happy with my overall muscle amount, wouldn't mind gaining some in the upper body though.

Planning on attending the Galaxy Fitness Camp in Arizona in June, with a desire to compete in the obstacle course early next year.

I started 2/15/03 w/4 mg injections ED. I ramped up to 6 mg ED on 2/24/03. On 3/3/03, I ramped up to 8mg ED. On 3/10/03 I will ramp up to 10mg, then back down to 8 mg on 3/17/03, then down to 6 mg 3/20/03, then down to 4 mg on 3/23/03, w/my last injection on 3/24/03.
I am very pleased w/my results. I use an insulin syringe, so it's easy and painless. I can feel the deposit for about 1 day, but no pain.
Sorry to hear about your depo experience. What BC are you taking?
Keep us updated on your spring cycle... I would like to know how the stack works for you.

No, I never took Depo. Unfortunately, my gaining weight was ALL my fault. I took a break off working out hard and eating right....and never stopped...for 4 months. I'd say I gained about 10 pounds, no big deal, but just enough to make me feel yucky.

Sounds like your cycle is going great - that is so terrrific. The results are good? Congrats!

sort of OT- but I was reading that in black women depo provera is like chemical castration used for sex offenders. I think I read a post by macro saying something along that lines as well.

seems kinda fucked up and that the government knew it and was still pushing it as free birth control for low income women.

Damn... I knew about Depo being used as a form of chemical castration for male sex offenders. I have never heard that it has similar effects for black women. Did the post say why Depo would have a different effect on a black female as opposed to a white female?
