You`re right about the swiss ball hacks, so I have to agree weither I want to or not
And your comment about ego trips reminded me of a girl I`ve seen doing deads with a broom stick handle! Personally, I think that`s a waste, but I don`t see too high a risk of injury

- Yes Squats will build your legs, but I`m 99.9% sure they will not build your legs the way you think they will. It`s hard to build any significant amount of muscle. Alot of women fear lifting any weight because they are afraid they will like female bodybuilders. Believe you me, if it was as easy as alot of women think, I`d be 400 lbs with 1% bodyfat.
- Seriously though, don`t be afraid to do squats. It will take you a fairly long time to add any significant size from muscle. You`ll easily be able to tell a difference. If you are truely concerned that you will be unable to tell, measure them(you should do this anyway). Make sure you measure them the same day every week, and the same time on that day. Don`t measure more than once a week as any limb is likely to change slightly from day to day simply by different food and water intake. You should also get a close friend to judge any changes, which is actually a much better indicator than a tape.
- Rather than getting large legs, you might actually slim your legs at first. Squats are top of the list for anabolic exercises, and if they are the only change you make, you may lose bodyfat at a faster rate then you add muscle. Muscle also burns bodyfat, so as you add muscle, you`ll lose fat. This will give you firmer legs, and help curve them better(muscle has shape). Don`t fear that this will make you have muscle legs. Between you and your friend it should be very easy to decide when you are happy with your legs. When that happens just ease off on weight and reps.
- I also think I should mention Lipoderm-Y or Yohimburn again. I`ve never used either of these, but there are alot of people who swear by them. I know of a guy who bought a bottle for his GF for her birthday(she asked). She went down from a size six, to something like a 2. I`m not saying they work, as I haven`t used them and have no personal experience. I just want to let you know that you might want to look into them. Also, you MUST eat fewer calories than you burn. The products are only designed to free up fat from where you apply it. This will basically release the fat from storage, turning it into avalible energy. If it`s not used, it will just be stored again, and all you`ll have managed to lose is your money. Forgive me if you know this already, I am not trying to be condescending.
