Will I See Results?

How's everyone doing.
I'm curious if I follow a strict weight/strength training program for, say 2 months, if I'll see any results in that time.

I know it depends on a lot, but the fact I could or might would be motivation to actually get started.

I'm 27, 6'0 203LBS
I'm a person who starts a weight program, does it for a week, and then stops for a month, then say I'm going to restart... do it 2 days, stop.
Etc.

But I think if I knew there'd be a change I'd stick with it.

I'm basically trying to lose some chest flabbiness. and tone up.

At the gym I do the following:
Incline Bench Press - 80 Lbs
Lat Pull Down - 110 Lbs
Standard Bench Press - 95 Lbs
Chest Fly - 90 Lbs
Row(?) - (Where you sit and pull the weight straight back.) 80 Lbs
And another machine that I don't know the name of, where you put the pads on your forearms and lift up like you're flapping your wings.

As you can see, I have no idea what I'm doing...
Any thoughts or suggestions would be great.
Thanks.

Bro go to the top of this forum. Read the stickies on weight training. Ck out the Starting strength routines. Check out the Strong Lift 5x5 routines. See which one you like the best. As far as your dedication and not sticking with a program no one can fix that but you. As far as you getting results in 2 months I can tell you this. You will be in better shape doing almost any routine you choose for two months straight than sitting around on your arse waiting for the right routine to motivate you. Your motivation to improve physically starts with the mental prowess to commit to something and having faith that no matter what you will be better off in the long run sticking to it.

+1 even with youre routine you will see results in 2 months... Diet i think is more important actually lets use the word nutrition...now if you read the sticky like advised and come up with a proven routine the changes you can make along with proper nutrition and rest can be dramatic! Gl

5x5 would be good for you.. I prefer isolation days but that's just me.. Once summer is over I am going to do 5x5

I think diet is just as important so you should head over to the diet and bodybuilding forum once you know what training plan you want to do

there are many training programs out there.

what I would recommend for you is training splits which allow you to pound a muscle group and then allow it to rest a few days then you pound it again... like this:

day 1. pushing
day 2. pulling
day 3. legs
day 4. rest
repeat

do 10-12 sets per session.. mix up your exercises... each set to failure.. keep increasing the weight each session.

as you gain experience increase sets, intensity, and weight

the only rule is start out your sessions with compound movements. on pushing days you start out on the bench press. pullin days start out with pullups/rows, leg days start out with deadlifts or squats.

PUSH yourself... bench pressing 95 pounds for 3 sets is not gonna cut it.. you need to lift hard and heavy. that is the beauty of training splits.. go balls to the walls and you give that muscle group 4 days to rest before you pound it again.
