Will BCAA help agains catabolism?

In my understanding BCAA's can help prevent catabolism since they are nutrients to our muscles. Let's say that I do not have the chance to have breakfast or lunch - would there be any real benefit in taking a serving of BCAA's just to keep my self nutritioned?

The branch chained amino acid L-leucine directly signals protein synthesis through the mtor pathway. The branch chained amino acids are also extremely anti-catabolic which makes them great to take before cardio/training, and during periods of fasting.

If you are going for 4+ hours without a meal, taking a BCAA supplement is a great idea to prevent muscle catabolism and keep muscle protein synthesis high.

Whenever I have a client who fasts for religion reasons, I make sure they take BCAA throughout the day to prevent catabolism and keep muscle protein synthesis high.
