Why do they close and lock threads around here?

The situation you described does deserve moderator intervention, but I take exception to threads being locked just because they're old and being bumped by less popular members. I've now had 3 of my own threads get locked over the last few months almost as soon as I bumped them.

Well I can't speak to that, cause I was not involved and don't know to what threads you refer, guy

Here's an old thread that ain't locked and it's still got plenty of mileage left on it. It's a good thread for those who are brand new to the Doggcrapp(sp) way of training. The title of the thread is "DC Training."

I think this example proves that locking non-hostile flame-free threads isn't always the right thing to do:
