It depends on the extent of the injury, not sure if it's a sprain(hyperextension or twisting of ligiments), or a strain(microscopic tears in the muscle) the best methods of recovery for these injuries is rest, ice, compression and elevation. The NSAIDS will help as well, just don't push it intill full recovery is reached or you risk further injury.
