Incorrect - Kimo weight 250 that night and Royce was 176 - the commetatotr (I think it is Jim Brown) even says "almost 75lbs difference"

I still just can't see it. People are focusing on how the UFC has changed and that Hughes fighting style is "better" for some reason. Hughes has never faced anyone like Gracie - maybe Penn, whom he could not overpower or slam(LOSS FOR HUGHES), but not even really Penn. Gracie is much better at sub's than Penn and Hughes will not be able to prevent it IMO. Gracie, on the other hand, has fought fighters like Hughes - Kimo, Dan Severn, several other outside UFC.... anyway my money, or in this case karma, is going to Mr.Gracie.

Hughes escapes armbar which sets up for the triangle and so on and on until Hughes gets caught...Hughes will have to knock Royce out pretty quick or Royce will be on him like a cheap suit.

I may be reading incorrectly here, but GNP does not 100% guarantee victory. There is an actual defense for it and ...OMG...an actual offense which springs from it as well. Heck, Royce might give Hughes the full-guard hoping Hughes GNPs like a nut, gases out, and BOOM....submission.

I'm looking forward to this fight, too. But I'll bet that will be one of the more boring fights. I see it going the distance, with Hughes being in Royce's guard most of the time. The crowd will get weary of the stalemates, and start booing every time it goes back to the ground. Hughes will get the decision based on the fact that he will be the aggressor while Royce will just be defending himself from the ground. I wouldn't be surprised if it is a duplicate of Royce vs Ken Shamrock, where it stayed on the ground almost the whole time, and was boring to watch.
Hughes will be much too physically fit to run out of gas. And he's too experienced to make a dumb mistake that Royce can use against him. Royce, on the other hand, has enough fighting experience to deal with Hughes stand-up game. And on the ground, Royce has enough experience and know-how to not get submitted by either strikes or submission.
So as I said before, it will go the distance, with Hughes winning unanimous decision because he will do better when they stand. And Royce will stick to putting Hughes in his guard and defending from there, which will lose him points in the judges eyes since Hughes will be seen as being more the aggressor.

Well, I was wrong. Royce got fucking mauled in there. Kinda signals an end of an era, which will be verified when Shamrock gets annihalated in July.

I agree 100%---end of an era. I just wish Royce had never, ever agreed to that fight. I would have like to have remembered him as a dominating badass that easily handled guys 100+ pounds over his weight.

I have no doubt Shamrock will put on a similar show.
