Who's lookin forward to seeing Hughes vs Gracie???

The way I remember the story, Carlson Gracie Sr. was a diabetic and he initially went in the hospital to undergo kidney stone surgery, but died from complications.

gracie will loose this fight..... I just saw him fight a Jap guy at ... if I remember on the same show frank shamrock fought cezar gracie... it may have been a differnet show but It was recent fight... He almost lost and the jap guy was very small - but good. Matt Hughes is a strong technical country boy like ME and he is way ahead of Hoyce as far as the evoulution of MMA... MH will win big!!

Royce is going to choke him out, apply a submission hold, make him quit. Help him up and send him home. At least that is what I keep hearing.

I've never seen Royce help anybody up. He usually holds the submission way too long to prove his point then quickly walks to his family for a group hug.

But whatever. I just hope it doesn't go the distance. Too many decisions lately. But they're both so good that it may end up that way, with a pair of shrugs.

We'll see.

:lmao: yeah, I've heard that quite a few times now too, lol.

Actually, Royce only held those submissions so long back in the day because the refs were retards and didn't even know what submissions were, (see Gracie vs Shamrock I).

And I hope he kisses him on the cheek to embarass him like BJ Penn did after he choked his ass out, lol.

I think it will be a one sided match. Who dominates will all depend on who gets to their goal first. matt would be smart to keep it on their feet. I was watching a special on the best of hoyce gracie, he got the shit pounded out of him at 180lbs but a 250lb guy (forgot name). he spent most of his time on his back and ended the fight with a submission hold...WHILE ON HIS BACK. Yes matt has the power to ground and pound, but he would be better off using his strength on his feet. Hoyce is older now, could be past his prime but could say he has more years of practice and experience. If it goes to the ground, Hoyce has the fight. Stand up, matt all the way.
