Who here has had a drug problem?

I'll confess, I've had/still have issues with hydrocodone (lortab). It sucks. I get depressed without it.
 
i was on it for 8 months as pain medication, when I came off i never felt depressed. i can see how someone can get hooked on those little buggers. I wish i woulda saved a few for the future.
 
Never. But, I've had bad ass anxiety all my life. Will always be a battle.
 
I had a BIG cocaine problem in high school. I overdosed... almost died. Was in ICU for over a week. That was 10 years ago. That was my first ambulance ride but I don't remember it. Now, I'm the medic picking up the overdose peeps. It seems so dumb to me now. I feel bad for them. I would never touch the stuff again. It can really take away everything you love...... but it was the best damn high EVER. It's dangerous. It's not worth it.

That's because it kills mental as well as physical pain as you probably know.
 
Just nicotine for me. I am the type of person that could easily get adicted if I did drugs. I love getting drunk too but I never drink. I saw too many of my friends ruin their lives and die. I've never even smoked pot I am so afraid I would get out of control. I even limit my drinking to once or twice per year.

Good luck and I hope you find the light at the end of the tunnel.

I had a lot prescribed for my broken thumb. I wish I had some stashed away - but it never works like that. You get itchy and then pop a couple to get high.

I get addicted to ephedrine pretty easy.
 
i used to be addicted to oxycotin , id eat about 10 80mg OC's a day , when i finally stopped takin them i was pukin for four days and i was having seizure like muscle spasms , fuckin terrible . it was like coming off heroin.
 
i have a doc who prescribes xanax for everything. EVERYTHING. i went there for a really bad sunburn and he gave me xanax.
i don't take them- they dont' do anything for me, but i ended up with tons of them.
meanwhile, the same doc wouldn't give me a script for sleeping pills because he said "i'm too young to have sleeping problems."

?

Yea, your doc probably has a contract with Xanax.
It's like that with a lot of meds...... and Science Diet dog food. I worked for a vet that would NEVER give his dog Science Diet but he told everyone else it was the best. He was getting a kick back from Hills. :rolleyes:

i wish humantarget hadn't seen such difficult times. the poor, the destitute, the disabled. the ugly side of life. i wish he hadn't been shot.

because then he probably wouldn't blah blah blah so much with that smug motherfucking attitude that comes from having LIVED BABY. YEAH. in fact, he wouldn't have anything to post about at all.

i'm glad i'm out of weed, though. it's a good thing for now.
 
I honestly don't think I've been addicted to anything.

I did cocaine twice...never cared for it again
extasy once....was awesome but I know it's dangerous therefore never did it again
oxcycotin....see above
alcohol....may drink 2 times in a month while watching a football game or something
nicotine.....I enjoy doing it, but have also stopped cold turkey when I wanted a break
lortabs....I love them but only do half of a 5 mg at a time. Usually do 1 pill total per week.

So although I do a lot of drugs, I do not see me as being adicted or having a problem.

Its really sad when I can get just about anything I want within a 24 hour period. Im talking from people that have great jobs, business owners oh yea, and even this great little women I had about a two year fling with whom works for a doctors office. Yes, its good to know its there when I really need somthing, but it just shows its all over.

Never shall I allow my DNA to mingle with such polluted carcasses. I wrote down names. Least I forget who you losers are in the middle of a vodka, E, and tina binge.
 
Booze is/ was my problem. I'd do blow when I drank, but never really craved it the way a lot of people around me would. I always had a ball with me or close by, but could take it or leave it. Toward the end I was doing it quite a bit though.
 
When ephedra was legal, I had a 18 Hydroxycut a day habit going for a long time. Six hydroxys at a time, 3 times a day. That's a lot of stimulant.

When I suddenly stopped taking them, I basically crashed for about 3 days. Nothing painful except some slight headaches. It was the falling asleep at stop lights and drooling during meetings at work that were troublesome.

I remember once I was trying to pour some champagne and kept missing the glass because I was shaking so bad. It was then first bottle of Dom I ever bought and thought I was being all cool.

Is StimX any good? I quit trying to find a replacement for my ephedra. Nothing compares. I miss it :worried:

I think maybe a pat on the back would do fine. I am happy about my accomplishments. I'm happy about my decision to stop killing myself. Especially considering the addiction war with myself. Some habits are hard to break.
 
Was always to busy drinking to do any other drugs. Now caffine is my drug of choice. Pretty boring - huh.
 
i guess i went thru my phases early, started smoking pot and drinking like a fish when i was a freshmen in HS. Senior now and i only drink about 1x a month or smoke every few months but everyone else i know is now going thru the smoke and drink everyday phase, glad i got over it before college.

yes it is good - and strong. start with one. a lot of people start with one and stpo taking it because it's too intense - too much stimulant.

I was addicted to andro ever since Mark McGuire endorsed it, I got ripped...bought it in bulk and snorted it all day.

Smurf, I guess you never have prob with anxiety.

If I took stimulants I'd be trying to crawl out of my skin.

i got some , took one the first day and have not touched it since then. too fuckin much for me too handle.

Actually, I do have anxiety. The stimulants make it worse as you know. But Id be a zombie if I stopped taking them. Luckily thus far my anxiety isnt crippling, otherwise Id have to stop. I was just talking with my therapist about this very subject this evening.

W00tom said the same thing. Send me your leftovers. Im afraid I may have to add a 2nd dose later in the day.
 
I've shunned Caffeine for the most part. I do drink Green Tea every so often and if I realllllly need a pick me up I'll take a large sip of Coffee. I figure my social drinking will eventually become very sparse and I'd rather not have any addiction: be it cigarettes, coffee, alcohol etc.
