WHO here feels that 200 mg Protein/day is sufficient?

I'm 240 right now and don't take in more then 200 grams per day. IMO it's pointless, in the end it all comes down to calories, once the minnimum macro nutrient profile has been met ofcourse. I don't feel good forcing all the protein down. 200 grams is a good point for me. I consumed 200 grams even when i was 275lbs and never had any problems gaining muscle. The only thing i play with when i feel weaker or flatter is the carb intake and Fat intake, i increase or decrease one table spoon at a time. This is how it works for me, i jumped off the very high portein bandwagon a long time ago, continued to make great gains just like before and realised the brilliant marketing behind selling protein powders.

thats what i am sayin well said

Look, get your Lean Body Mass counted. When I first started working out seriously, when I was doing a cardio fat loss program, I weighed 176, and I had about 141 lbs of LBM. I knew I had to eat atleast that in protein to keep it, so if your juicin or whatever, you should be eating twice that. Just because you weight 200 lbs, doesn't mean that you have 200lbs of lbm. get it checked for accuracy and then go from there. Just like above said, you want to eat 1 1/2 times your lbm to grow - up to 2. Also, your body needs the right died. I'll get stopped up also if I eat 2 much protein and not enough fiber. Eat a lot of salads, atleast 1-2 a day - moderate sized. Eat a lot of fibers/ whole grains etc, and that should start clearing up your problem. Taking laxatives won't correct the problem, but just compound the issues even more. Plus, taking laxatives, will throw your electrolites, and other essential body minerals, vites, etc out of wack- and dehydrate you seriously. Also, drink more water and take more Magneisium. Take about 800 mgs a day. What this will do is draw water into your stool which will soften it. When you have taken too much, you'll be runny, so stick between 400-1000 a day until it changes. anyhow, just my opinion..hope ya get better..

I have all sorts of horrid constipation issues with higher protein levels. Thinking about adjusting them for good!

I have been abusing laxatives JUST TO take shits once/day to every other day! Fucking abnormal!

I've tried digestive enzymes, laxatives, all sorts of fiber, i drink tons of water.high protein just wrecks me bowel-wise. :(

So....Anyone gain nicely on ust 200 grams Protein grams/protein per day?

1-1.5g proteins per lb. of lean body mass (muscle)

I am 5'9 225

14% bdy fat

I TYPICALLY eat 300 grams/day.

2 shakes, the rest grilled chicken and red meat.

See, now those are good eating habits. How many grams per shake? And which type of shakes do you use? Curious

I'm feeling you on the ISOPURE, it's a great product. Are you taking 50-60g while you're on or off cycle? If you're off cycle I'd take it down a bit and just take more shakes throughout the day. It CAN get annoying but if you develop a system for splitting them up, you might benefit more from it in the long run. Try filling up little water bottles with 25-30 grams a piece and then refrigerating them while at work and take them in intervals. Just an idea
